As I delve into the lives of these remarkable individuals, I am constantly struck by their resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, two powerhouses in their respective fields, have experienced the highs and lows of love and marriage. Their journey serves as a testament to the fact that even the strongest relationships can falter, but the bonds formed – particularly when children are involved – often endure.

On Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez initiated the process of ending her marriage to Ben Affleck by filing for divorce herself.

Jennifer, aged 55, is going through her fourth divorce, while this is the second one for Ben, who was once married to actress Jennifer Garner.

She was married to former waiter Ojani Noa from 1997 until 1998, then Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003 and Marc Anthony from 2004-2014.

After their breakups, several of her former partners found themselves struggling in the shadows of her flourishing music and acting profession.

In simpler terms, Jennifer Lopez (J-Lo) once criticized a former waiter named Ojani by saying he lacked organization and had little chance of earning as much as she does. Now, he’s a personal fitness instructor who posts workout videos on Instagram.

Currently, Cris – now leading dance workshops – had earlier spoken about the distress caused by his privacy being violated during their relationship. He also mentioned that their wedding transformed into quite an unsettling spectacle, resembling more of a circus than a celebration.

So what has become of the pop superstars ex husband as she goes through divorce number four:

Ojani Noa: 1997-1998

Jennifer Lopez married producer Ojani Noa back in 1997, having initially met him when he worked as a waiter at a restaurant in Miami, long before they became a pair.

However, after only 11 months of marriage, the pair divorced in January 1998.

1998 saw her expressing candidly during an intense interview with Movie Line, admitting, “I find myself drawn to men who, oddly enough, seem to be struggling in their lives.”

It seems to me that my husband is brimming with potential, but at this stage, he may not be earning as much as I am. Despite having numerous connections and venturing into his own business, such as opening a club and restaurant, whatever field he chooses, I believe his earnings won’t surpass mine.

‘That’s something he has to deal with and to live with, which is tough for someone like him.

Ojani now describes himself as a personal trainer and actor on his Instagram.

In the interviews, she mentioned about Ojani: ‘If you were to ask him today, he’d prefer having me at home doing chores like washing dishes, us residing in a modest flat, with him earning an income rather than me making millions annually, living in a house that I mostly finance myself!’

After their separation, the singer and Noa seemed friendly as they worked together again, with Noa managing the Cuban restaurant she opened in Los Angeles that the former had hired him for, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Six months later, she fired Ojani – causing him to sue the star for breach of contract.

Later on, a permanent court order prohibited any actions that involved ‘speaking negatively about, belittling, portraying unfavorably, or otherwise disparaging’ Lopez.

2006 saw me, the overzealous fan, being sued by Jennifer Lopez herself when I proposed a book, inspired by our fleeting marriage. Three years after that, I received a cease-and-desist letter from her camp to halt the production of a mockumentary titled “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story.”

Following the wedding with Ben in July 2022 at a Las Vegas chapel, Ojani opened up about his fourth marriage during an interview with DailyMail.com.

He had expressed his hopes for Jen and Ben’s relationship, but admitted that he was uncertain if it would endure, as he put it earlier. It’s known that Jen adores being in a romantic relationship, yet she’s been proposed to six times. Ben happens to be her fourth husband.

On our wedding night, I was the first husband she had ever known, and she confided that I was the one she had always loved. She expressed that our bond would last forever as we lay there together.

Later on, the personal trainer mentioned, ‘I’m glad she’s returned to Ben, but I sense this relationship might not be long-lasting.’

As a diligent observer, I find myself pondering that she might find herself married multiple times, perhaps up to seven or eight unions. It seems unlikely to me that she’ll commit to one individual for the long haul.

Ojani clarified, “She consistently advances herself professionally, which has led to a three-decade long career. Simultaneously, she’s adept at moving forward in her personal life as well.”

Cris Judd: 2001-2003

Jennifer Lopez exchanged vows with dancer Cris Judd in 2001, following their encounter on the set of her “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” music video.

However, their union didn’t last long; they decided to part ways and filed for divorce in July 2002, just nine months after the wedding.

The following year in 2003, the divorce was officially finalized.

Currently, he leads a tranquil life out of the public eye and has been blissfully wedded to his spouse, Kelly, since 2009.

He now teaches dance work shops and is a choreographer – having worked on the sitcom Fuller House.

2014 saw Judd sharing insights about his former relationship and married life with the singer known for On The Floor, during an open conversation with Us Weekly.

He said, “You can see how difficult it is now, because your privacy has been invaded, you’re not just an ordinary individual anymore.”

Our wedding was more like a bustling carnival. It seems that quite a few individuals attempted to scale the mountain or sneak past security, which resulted in some arrests. Interestingly, we even leased the skies above for added excitement.

He admitted that being in the spotlight was ‘tough’ but expressed, ‘You kind of sign up for that, you know? You kind of have to take it and accept it and embrace it.’

Cris stated, “When you cease resisting it, it naturally becomes smooth. However, if you insist on maintaining your privacy, it will drive you crazy, which is often the reason why people crack or change.”

Regarding why they parted ways, he explained casually, “Regrettably, things didn’t quite go as planned.”

Marc Anthony 2004-2014

In 1998, Lopez and Anthony initially met while Lopez was starring in a Broadway play called “The Capeman.”

In 2004, they grew very close and eventually got married at a private wedding, which followed the conclusion of Jennifer’s previous engagement to Ben Affleck.

2008 found me overjoyed as the ex-pair I adore brought twins Max and Emme into the world. Yet, come 2011, the bittersweet news of their separation unfolded. It wasn’t until 2014 that their divorce was officially made final, leaving me still hopeful for their happiness.

Marc, on his own merit, is a highly accomplished musician, having been awarded four Grammys.

Back in 2016, during a heartfelt chat with W Magazine (as reported by Us Weekly), I, Jennifer Lopez, looked back on my third walk down the aisle and its aftermath. ‘Finding forgiveness when my marriage came to an end wasn’t a piece of cake.’

Instead, what I experienced didn’t turn out to be the cherished vision I had anticipated. It might have been simpler to nurture feelings of resentment, disillusionment, and annoyance, but…

As someone who has experienced the complexities of a broken relationship and the responsibilities that come with parenthood, I can attest to the fact that reconciling those two realities is one of the most challenging tasks I have ever faced. My partner, Marc, is not just my ex, but the father of my children, and that bond will endure regardless of our personal circumstances. Therefore, I am committed to working tirelessly to restore a sense of harmony and balance in our lives, for their sake and mine. This arduous journey has undoubtedly been the hardest work I have ever done.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can tell you that persistence is key, but not always in everything. In this case, after seven resilient years, I realized that what I was invested in wasn’t my path. I knew it almost instantly, and now, looking back, I understand it wasn’t the right fit for me.

Even though we’ve parted ways, my former partner and I have managed to maintain a cordial relationship and have even collaborated professionally in the entertainment sector.

At the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards, they gave a memorable performance and sang the song “Forget Me and Turn Around.”

When speaking with Extra in 2017 (as reported by People), the artist behind “Rain Over Me” mentioned that they had always enjoyed a strong relationship, going back to their very first day together.

Approximately two decades back, we crossed paths at work. She’s been more like family to me ever since – my lifelong companion. To build rapport with a woman, they say, just go through a divorce.
