The Crow comes to Call of Duty on August 22
As a long-time fan of both Call of Duty and The Crow, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at this epic crossover! Growing up, I remember staying up late to watch The Crow on VHS, mesmerized by Brandon Lee’s performance. And now, here we are, with the latest iteration joining forces with Call of Duty, just days before the movie hits theaters!
In a joint venture, the character of The Crow makes its appearance in Call of Duty, coinciding with the start of the film series’ remake.
Despite Black Ops 6 approaching, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continues to deliver fresh content. New seasons keep rolling out, and collaborations with popular culture persist. Coming soon for Call of Duty: MW3 is a guest appearance by the iconic character, The Crow.
For a number of years now, COD (Call of Duty) has welcomed characters such as The Shredder, WWE stars, and countless others into their roster of Operators. So far, all we’ve got is a sneak peek, but as soon as we get a more detailed glimpse of The Crow in Call of Duty, we’ll share the news with you right here. For now, let’s explore what information we currently have available.
A brief video featuring a crow symbol was posted on the Call of Duty X account, accompanied by the message. In the clip, you can hear the words, “Resurrected from the dead. Been there before. Won’t be gone for good,” and it appears to depict the latest iteration of The Crow.
Furthermore, crows start cawing and take flight off the ground when the announcement of the release date (August 22) is imminent. However, the movie will officially debut on August 23 in theaters, suggesting that the crossover production has been carefully timed to coincide with the film’s theater release.
Anticipate that the fusion of Call of Duty and The Crow will deliver an Operator skin. Be prepared for this skin to be on the pricier side, offering numerous weapon blueprints, a distinctive kill animation, and a thrilling finisher which accentuates The Crow’s ruthless personality.

As a curious gamer diving into Call of Duty‘s latest collaboration, if you’re unfamiliar with the character known as The Crow, here’s a quick rundown. The comic book series made its debut in 1989, and it was brought to life on the big screen in 1994. One of the most intriguing aspects of this story is that it starred Brandon Lee, the son of the legendary Bruce Lee. Tragically, Brandon lost his life during filming when a prop gun accidentally discharged. This iconic character, The Crow, has now found its way into Call of Duty’s universe, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans like myself.
Over time, it gained the status of a beloved cult film and spawned follow-ups that didn’t resonate as strongly with viewers as the original. Now, there’s a fresh take on it featuring Bill Skarsgård, who portrayed Pennywise the Clown in the It series.

Eric, also known as The Crow, was once a slain musician. After being brought back to life, he harbors only one goal: revenge. His mission is twofold – to avenge his own demise and that of his beloved fiancée.
In other words, according to Skarsgård, the finale deviates from the original to keep the possibility of a follow-up story alive.
