The cringe Dally M Awards fashion fails everyone is still talking about years later – including several serial flashers
As a seasoned fashion and lifestyle connoisseur, I must admit that the NRL WAGs always manage to keep us on our toes with their bold and daring choices on the red carpet. While some outfits are nothing short of stunning, others leave us scratching our heads in bewilderment.
At the 2024 Dally M Awards on Wednesday, the stylish partners of NRL players are expected to captivate the audience with their stunning evening wear.
At the annual gala event of the National Rugby League (NRL), some of the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) have made headlines for their unique, and at times debatable, fashion selections over the past seasons.
To be honest, some guests struggled with their red carpet ensembles, opting for color combinations that clashed, materials that didn’t fit well, and styles that didn’t suit their body types.
2019 saw an unforgettable fashion blunder when Monisha Lew-Fatt, wife of Canberra Raiders star Jack Wighton, captured attention in a vibrant hot pink dress that highlighted her stunning physique.
The striking ensemble showcased numerous diagonal openings up front, skillfully accentuating her athletically sculpted physique due to her fitness routine.
In a skimpy attire that left little to the imagination, Monisha found it challenging to preserve her dignity, ultimately leading to an awkward situation.
The situation became interesting when Monisha’s bold attire unintentionally revealed her undergarments to the cameras, causing a wardrobe mishap that stirred conversation.
At the 2017 ceremony, Sam Burgess’ wife, Phoebe, caused quite a stir with her appearance. She wore an Alex Perry black dress that had a deep neckline and a thigh-high slit, leaving many guests doing a double-take.
On the evening, Phoebe’s striking ensemble drew attention, with a notable instance occurring when she unintentionally revealed her undergarments.
It is hoped that this year’s Dally M Awards on Wednesday night goes off without a hitch.
5:30 PM on a Wednesday (Australian Eastern Standard Time) marks the start of the red carpet event, which takes place at Sydney’s Randwick Racecourse. The awards ceremony kicks off at 7:30 PM, and the voting for the men’s Dally M Medal commences at 8 PM, all happening on this same day.
Since Channel Nine won’t be airing the event, viewers should instead switch to either Foxtel or the Kayo live streaming platform, as they’ll start their broadcast at 7:30 PM.
It’s generally believed that Melbourne’s player, Jahrome Hughes, stands as the top contender for the NRL’s award honoring the league’s most outstanding and ethical player, the Dally M.
