In “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the Warrens are set to take their leave with quite a spectacle, as this film promises to be the lengthiest installment in the series.
Without a doubt, you’re referring to the much-awaited fourth installment of the “Conjuring” film franchise, which makes it the ninth movie in the entire horror series if we include its extended version. The running time for this chilling adventure has officially been set at approximately 135 minutes and 16 seconds.
The duration of the Last Rites will barely exceed that of The Conjuring 2, as it stands as the longest film in the series with a runtime of approximately 133 minutes and 41 seconds.
In eager anticipation, a thrilling trailer announces the arrival of a 15-rated film, where supernatural investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga), portrayed as Warrens, find themselves venturing back to the commencement of their career, as an old, chilling demon resurfaces.

As I, a seasoned gamer, find myself immersed in this virtual world, an eerie tale unfolds. My character and companion are mysteriously transported to Pennsylvania back in 1986. Here, we’re drawn into a family’s life where strange, unexplainable events have been taking place.
Upon inspecting the house, Lorraine discovers that the malevolent spirit dwelling within is a familiar face from her and Ed’s past, having encountered them during their youthful dabbling in the supernatural.
In the upcoming film, we’ll witness the interweaving of two different time periods. Madison Lawlor and Orion Smith are cast to portray the younger counterparts of Lorraine and Ed respectively.

Completing the lineup for this episode are Mia Tomlinson portraying Lorraine, along with Ed’s teenage daughter, Judy, and additional performances by Ben Hardy, Steve Coulter, and Rebecca Calder in secondary roles.
The film “Last Rites” is once again guided by director Michael Chaves within the supernatural series, having previously worked on “The Devil Made Me Do It.
The screenplay was written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who collaborated on the story with the series’ co-creator James Wan.
The Conjuring: Last Rites haunts cinemas from 5 September.
