The Chase’s Anne Hegerty hurt after ‘kicking the set’ following loss
Anne Hegerty, famous for her role on The Chase, has disclosed that she’s injured herself previously by kicking the stage setup.
For fifteen years, I’ve graced the stage of the beloved ITV game show as the Governess, but even I have my moments. When I lose and feel a bit frustrated, I’m known to express my displeasure by giving the set a gentle tap.
Despite facing a disappointing defeat, even if I end up storming out of here in frustration, I must say, this is still the best job experience I’ve ever had, she shared with Metro.
Anne clarified: “I usually check first if something is sturdy enough to be kicked. Just to make sure it’s safe, I want to confirm that I can give it a good kick without causing any damage.
She shared that she had previously experienced a minor injury on her toe, just to assure everyone that she didn’t accidentally harm the set.
Anne continued to elaborate on what makes “The Chase” her favorite job. She described it as a familiar and comfortable environment for her.
She mentioned that she wakes up, drinks some coffee, feels compelled to take a shower, dry off, dress herself, and finally hop into her car.
When it comes time for me to actually start filming, I find myself thinking, “Ah, I’ve got this figured out now.” The challenging part is rising from the floor and taking a shower, while this part seems effortless by comparison.
In addition, Anne disclosed that she auditioned for the 2024 season of Dancing on Ice, but opted to concentrate on pantomime instead.
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
