The Chase star Shaun Wallace, 65, shows off his impressive physique while stripping off for an outdoor workout – after self-styled Dark Destroyer admitted he stopped jogging because his ‘knees have gone’

He’s defeated many contestants on The Chase with his incredible breadth of knowledge.

Shaun Wallace seemed more focused on weightlifting in a recent Instagram post where he was shirtless, rather than offering motivation.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what the Dark Destroyer did! He took his shirt OFF – yes, the Dark Destroyer! – and posted a really sweet message to all his fans back in September. I mean, he’s practically a legend from being on that game show, and seeing him like that… it was amazing! I saved the screenshot, obviously.

A 65-year-old quiz show host encouraged viewers not to be concerned with the opinions of others, speaking directly to the camera.

‘Don’t let it bother you when people are always negative. Just focus on yourself.’ 

The celebrity later posted a video of himself exercising with dumbbells in his backyard.

He shared a short video with the caption: ‘Feeling those Monday morning blues! Let’s kick off the week right.’

The post received many supportive comments, including one follower who wrote: ‘Thank you Shaun. I really needed to hear this right now, and you’re looking great!’

A second added: ‘Loving the topless look.’ 

While a third impressed follower wrote: ‘You looking good Shaun.’ 

Wallace has been focusing on getting healthier lately and trying to lose weight. He had to stop jogging regularly due to a health problem, which motivated him to make these changes.

He shared on The Hearing podcast that he used to start each day with exercise to stay in shape. However, he can no longer run due to knee problems – he previously ran a mile daily.

‘I just use the outdoor gym and have a rowing machine.’

Turning 65 recently in Poole, Dorset, got me reflecting, and I wanted to share with my Instagram followers that life hasn’t always been a smooth ride. It’s true – there have been challenges, but I’m grateful for everything. It felt good to acknowledge that openly.

He mentioned it was his 65th birthday and reflected that life, like a boat on rough seas, hasn’t always been smooth sailing.

‘But I’m here to tell the tale. I hope I’ve got many more years to come.’

Captioning the short video, he added: ‘I’m very grateful for reaching my 65th Birthday today. 

‘My life has not been easy but I’ve never given up.

I’ve put in a lot of effort, stayed determined, and grown from my mistakes. I’ve learned a lot through facing challenges and setbacks.

I truly appreciate all of you, my followers! I promise to keep inspiring, motivating, and entertaining you for as long as I can.
