The Chase star Anne Hegerty says there are NO downsides to money and fame and declares she ‘loves being rich’ – as she reveals she avoids dating apps as she ‘might end up having to have a boyfriend’
As a dedicated follower, I find myself in awe of Anne Hegerty, the remarkable woman who has captivated our hearts as The Governess on The Chase. Her journey from a humble beginning to her current status as a celebrated TV personality is nothing short of inspiring.
Anne Hegerty, known from “The Chase,” has stated that wealth and celebrity status come without drawbacks, expressing her joy in being financially well-off as she shared insights into living as The Governess.
The experienced trivia expert, aged 66, has been portraying the rigid and serious Governess character on the ITV game show since 2010. She later participated in I’m A Celeb in 2018.
In an interview with Bella magazine, Anne expressed that living a wealthy life comes without any disadvantages and further stated her enjoyment of being renowned.
Regarding her recent weight loss, Anne mentioned that it’s due to her wealth. She explained, “I don’t feel as hungry these days – it seems connected to being wealthy – It’s wonderful, I truly enjoy my wealth.”
The TV personality also offered some insight into her dating life as when asked if she had ever used dating apps, quipped: ‘No, because I’m afraid I might end up having to have a boyfriend.’
As a dedicated follower, I’d confess that maintaining relationships is a challenge I often face, with my longest relationship lasting only four months.
She said she enjoys being alone and admitted to feeling ‘a bit pressured’ in relationships.
And fans of The Chase can rest easy, as Anne revealed she has no plans to leave the game show.
She remembered a chat with Helen Worth, an actress from Coronation Street, during the Pride of Manchester Awards. In this conversation, she shared with her that there was a type of person who would depart from a highly successful reality show, thinking they could excel on their own, only to fade into obscurity and never be heard from again.
Anne’s professional journey has flourished significantly following her role as The Governess on the game show, when she announced in April that she was set to star in a brief movie production.
She shared with Daily Star, “I’ve been invited to star in a movie, and I’ve chosen to accept. We’ll be starting production on this project within the coming months.”
I feel quite relaxed since there isn’t a live audience. If there were one, I might find myself worrying, “Oh my goodness, will I forget my lines?”
‘But because there won’t be an audience watching, I’m not worried.’
Hi there! As a long-standing lifestyle consultant on the beloved ITV program for over a decade now, I wanted to address some speculation about my future involvement in the series. In my latest update, I share whether this exciting new opportunity might signal a change in my role within the show. Stay tuned, Anne!
Informing the publication: ‘I am not considering retirement at this time. [The Chase] serves as an essential tool that enables other tasks, and I truly enjoy working on it.’
‘It’s the best job I’ve ever had, so I’m happy to keep going as long as they want me for’.
Previously, it was disclosed that Anne decided not to join the recent season of Dancing on Ice, instead choosing to focus on her part in this year’s Chesterfield panto, Aladdin.
Last year, she shared that she auditioned for the show “Dancing on Ice” as she harbored a deep passion to perfect her ice-skating skills.
Indeed, unforeseen clashes with the pantomime occurred, yet the captivating prospect of standing on stage, interacting with a live audience, performing, crooning, and infusing humor was too enticing to resist. That unique opportunity carried immense worth for me personally.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d find myself merely trailing behind a penguin, unable to glide on the ice myself. Such an experience would undeniably be disappointing.
As someone who openly shares about my experiences, I’ve spoken before about managing life with Autism. Last year, I disclosed that this journey has provided me with a unique tool in navigating love.
As a devoted fan following the spin-off show “The Chasers Road Trip,” I’ve shared in the presenter’s personal journey, including her candidly discussing her longest relationship spanning four months. She chose to part ways because she felt she wasn’t able to give him the right level of attention he needed.
She went on to joke that she is ‘basically a Cyborg’ after learning that she has an emotional intelligence level of just 1%.
