The Chase star Anne Hegerty offers update on new spin-off series

Anne Hegerty, one of the stars of The Chase, has shared news about the upcoming spin-off, The Chase Around the World. The new series features a different format that could breathe fresh life into the popular quiz show.

The new show, revealed last month, features host Bradley Walsh and all six Chasers. Contestants will try to answer tough questions and win a large cash prize.

Instead of teams of four, this series will feature six pairs who will try to figure out where the Chaser is by answering questions. The two pairs who reach the target last will compete against each other, and the losing pair will be eliminated.

Hegerty, known as ‘The Governess’ from the ITV show, recently hinted that filming for the spin-off series will begin soon, generating a lot of anticipation.

She told The Mirror they’re filming a new spin-off show in May. While she couldn’t reveal many details, she said it will feature the Chasers traveling to different locations, and viewers will have to guess their whereabouts and identities.

Mark Labbett, known as ‘The Beast’ and a contestant on the show since 2010, announced that filming for the next main series will begin soon. He also shared that the new season of the spin-off, Beat the Chasers, has already been completed.

After revealing the new show, The Chase Around the World, Walsh explained that it’s a fresh and exciting version of The Chase. He said it will challenge contestants’ knowledge in a whole new way by combining trivia with travel.

Fans can expect to see the already well-known Chasers competing in exciting and undisclosed locations, according to the show’s host, who has been with the series since it began in 2009.

Bright Entertainment’s Lily Wilson described The Chase Around the World as a natural expansion of a well-loved game show, praising the team behind its development and production. They plan to release the series later in the year.
