The changing face of Candice Swanepoel: Model debuts fierce new look at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024

On Tuesday evening, the runway of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was graced once more by Candice Swanepoel, who had been absent for a span of six years. Her return left everyone in awe.
In 2010, when she was named an ‘Angel’, the stunning model from South Africa swiftly integrated into Victoria’s Secret’s exclusive modeling team.
For more than ten years, Swanepoel has been the trusted representative of the brand, embodying the youthful and blonde aesthetic that Gigi Hadid has adopted more recently.
However, her facial expression seemed sharper and more distinct as she strutted down the runway on Tuesday evening in New York City.

In 2022, she shared with the media that she’s experimented with various methods, and while there’s no magic solution according to her, she strongly believes that laser treatments can be preventative and aid in slowing down the skin’s aging process.

She shared that she had an intense reaction after undergoing microneedling – a minimally intrusive treatment where small pricks are made on the skin to stimulate collagen production.
That one bad experience has made her ‘not very experimental’ when it comes to trying out skin procedures.
Regarding Swanpoel, a model with an exceptional physique, she asserts that she doesn’t adhere to a rigid diet plan, and in fact, needs to consume large amounts of food to sustain her weight. Notably, she is a mother of two children.
For her exercise routine, she mentioned that “I manage quite well with spending half an hour each day, four days a week.
In 2024, it was announced that Candice would rejoin the group of experienced models walking the runway for the Victoria’s Secret show taking place in New York City.
Additionally present were Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Joan Smalls, Tyra Banks, and several other frequent Victoria’s Secret models.
Gigi Hadid made her return to the runway, appearing first at the fashion event held at the main Victoria’s Secret store in New York City following a six-year break, adorned with sparkling pink feathered wings symbolizing an angel.

Victoria’s Secret shifted their renowned Angels to ‘ambassadors’, such as soccer star Megan Rapinoe, and parted ways with their long-standing CEO due to declining sales and a controversial report that alleged the company of misogyny, sexual harassment, and bullying.
Initially, Swanepoel made an appearance adorned with a shimmering bra and G-string undergarments, offering a vivid display.
She revealed a lot in a lightly colored lingerie set, consisting of a bra and thong, suggesting minimal modesty.
Behind her, the design featured graceful wings shaped as the words ‘Victoria’s Secret’, elegantly written in flowing script.
For her closing appearance of the evening, she confidently showcased her style in a fiery red push-up bra and coordinating lingerie.
Instead of wings, she wore a giant red bow on her back.
Throughout the dazzling gala in New York City, Swanepoel sported a sleek, alluring high ponytail and striking makeup with golden eyeshadow and a lustrous lip.
