The ‘Brady Bunch’ house will finally open its doors to the public — for three days only

Get ready, “The Brady Bunch” fans! The iconic house from the show, located in Studio City, is opening its doors to the public for the very first time.

Fans will soon have the chance to step inside the iconic Studio City home made famous by the 1970s sitcom, thanks to a special three-day event. Pop culture historian Alison Martino, along with her Vintage Los Angeles, is hosting “The Brady Experience” in November. Martino, who works as a host and producer for Spectrum News and is the daughter of singer Al Martino, announced the event on Facebook on Monday.

She exclaimed it felt like going back in time to when they were kids! She promised a complete tour, saying she’d personally show everyone around every room in the house.

Netflix is launching its first brick-and-mortar stores, called Netflix House, in Philadelphia on November 12th and in Dallas on December 11th. These locations will be found inside shopping malls and offer fans an immersive experience and retail items.

From November 7th to 9th, Christopher Martino will be leading tours of the famous house used for exterior shots in the TV show ‘The Brady Bunch.’ Tickets cost $275 each, and the event is currently full. While the house was visible on screen throughout the series, the inside wasn’t actually filmed there. The show’s interior scenes were created on a soundstage at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

The well-known house, first constructed in 1959 in a late modernist style, was updated many years after the television show “The Brady Bunch” finished airing in 1974.

In 2018, HGTV bought the iconic house for $3.5 million – over twice what was originally asked for. They then completely remodeled the inside to look exactly like the Brady family home seen on the classic TV show. The entire renovation was filmed for a special called “A Very Brady Renovation,” and included appearances by the actors who played the Brady children.

During the home’s renovation, HGTV recreated the colorful, 1970s-inspired rooms seen on the show and added a second story to create more space. In 2023, the network sold the house for $3.2 million to Tina Trahan, who loves historic homes, and her husband, Chris Albrecht, a former executive at HBO.

Lifestyle

Many iconic homes from classic TV comedies – like those featured on “The Brady Bunch,” “Seinfeld,” “Insecure,” and “Not Dead Yet” – are real places you can actually visit and take pictures of.

Martino announced that the house, reminiscent of the iconic “Brady Bunch” home, has been updated with even more fantastic vintage decorations. She also shared that visitors will have full access to see every detail inside.

I’m so excited about this three-day event! All the money raised will go to Wags and Walks, a wonderful animal rescue organization. It really warms my heart, and I can just picture the Brady family’s dog, Tiger, giving it his paw of approval – he’d absolutely love that they’re helping animals in need!
