Eric Kripke, the head of The Boys team, has shared insights on the second season of Gen V, expressing that it surpasses the excellence of the first.
The spin-off of the hit Amazon show focusing on superheroes will be back this year for its second season, picking up where we left off with the students attending Godolkin University’s Crimefighting school.

Back in October 2023, there was good news for fans of Gen V, as it was announced that the series would be returning for a second season. Co-creator Kripke and showrunner Michele Fazekas made a statement after the announcement was made.
They expressed their joy that we share the same affection for these characters and tales, saying ‘We can’t wait to see how everyone else feels about them!’ The writers are currently developing the next season – brace yourselves for a rollercoaster ride filled with unexpected twists, emotion, wit, and, as always, some surprising explosions!
It’s been an amazing trip for us and our terrific collaborators at Sony to broaden the world of ‘The Boys’ with a series as daring as ‘Gen V’. That’s what Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, shared.
Our initial discussion with showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, in conjunction with Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, made it clear that Gen V would be innovative. The fearless attitude they display is precisely what viewers appreciate.
As the production team is busy working on a second installment of Gen V, the creators of The Boys are already gearing up for their fifth and concluding season. Recently, Karl Urban shared a sneak peek from set as filming began, hinting at a 2026 premiere date.
The Boys and Gen V stream on Prime Video.
