Will there be a season 5 of The Boys?

The Prime Video series will in fact have a fifth season upcoming, but this will mark its conclusion.

Eric Kripke, the show’s creator, previously shared that we had planned for a five-season narrative for quite some time. Despite Amazon’s persistent attempts to persuade him otherwise with kindness, we remained committed to our original vision.

Starting around the time we began writing season three, we had an idea of where the story was going, and we set the scene accordingly. In truth, the producers have given us the freedom to conclude things as we intended. I’m truly thankful for their support.

When will The Boys season 5 be released?

Naturally, it’s way too soon to have an exact release date for the final season of The Boys.

Lately, there’s been a two-year difference between the release of newer seasons. This aligns with recent statements from showrunner Eric Kripke, who shared with Variety that production for season five is predicted to commence around November 2024, possibly extending into mid-2025.

The production is expected to begin around mid-November, according to him. However, an exact premiere date hasn’t been determined yet as filming will continue deep into 2025.

With that in mind, we probably wouldn’t expect a season-five premiere until some time in 2026.

How many episodes will The Boys season 5 have?

Eight episodes make up the typical season for Prime Video’s popular series, and according to Kripke’s confirmation reported in Variety, this format will continue for season five as well.

As to the lengths of those episodes, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Caution: Reveals ahead for “The Boys” – including the concluding episode of season four – that may affect your viewing experience.

Who will be in The Boys season 5 cast?

Based on what we’ve seen in the series, it’s likely that Claudia Dommat (actress portraying Victoria Neuman with her dual roles and head-popping ability) won’t return after her violent demise inflicted by The Butcher.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for his role in “The Walking Dead,” could be making a comeback since he portrays the devil influencing the character – currently, there’s no opposing angel present.

Although the cast for season five of “The Boys” has not been formally announced, it’s a safe bet that our primary group will return for the last hurrah. This includes:

  • Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell
  • Erin Moriarty as Starlight/Annie
  • Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko
  • Tomer Capone as Frenchie
  • Karl Urban as Billy Butcher
  • Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk
  • Antony Starr as Homelander
  • Chace Crawford as The Deep
  • Jessie T Usher as A-Train
  • Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir
  • Susan Heyward as Sister Sage

As an avid fan, I’ve heard rumors about exciting guest appearances and cameos in store for us in the last season of this show I love. The brilliant creator, Kripke, even hinted at these surprises, leaving us eagerly anticipating each new episode.

“We’re brainstorming some potential options. We’re fortunate to have an impressive roster of dedicated fans who have expressed interest in participating in our show for quite some time. So, we plan to carefully consider this list and identify the most suitable candidates.”

As a dedicated gamer and fan of Eric Kripke’s brilliant storytelling, I can’t help but get excited about his plans for the final season. He’s previously shared his intention to bring Jared Padalecki, an old friend and collaborator from their time on “Supernatural,” into the mix.

Based on how he looked in the final scene of season four, it’s almost certain that we’ll see him again. In an interview with Deadline, Padalecki shared:

Based on my personal experiences and growth as an actor, I have come to value authenticity and connection above all else in my career. Today, we had a discussion about a potential role, but I have decided that I only wish to commit myself to projects that genuinely resonate with me or involve collaborators whom I hold dear. My bond with Eric is one such example – our history together is indelible, and I cherish the opportunity to create alongside him once more.

Will The Boys be getting more spinoffs?

The second season of Amazon Prime Video’s spin-off show, “Gen V,” is reportedly in production at this time.

Another version could be: Kripke has announced that there will be a Mexican spin-off, in addition to this. Furthermore, he hinted at having a few other projects underway following the news about the fifth season being the finale for the primary series.

“But we’re not ready to announce anything yet,” he concluded.

The Boys seasons 1 – 4 are available to watch on Prime Video now.
