The Boys prequel casts new mystery role alongside Jensen Ackles
In the forthcoming prequel to “The Boys,” titled “Vought Rising,” Elizabeth Posey will be portraying a significant character, sharing screen time with Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash in principal roles.
In this adaptation on Prime Video, the storyline will introduce the backstories of Ackles’ character, Soldier Boy, and Cash’s character, Stormfront, along with the company Vought International. This intriguing tale unfolds as a murder-mystery set in the vibrant 1950s New York City landscape.
According to Deadline, Ackles and Cash will soon have additional company on set, as Alison Posey has joined the cast. The specifics of her role are currently unknown, but Posey brings a strong resume, having appeared in shows like Euphoria, Heels, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The upcoming series titled Vought Rising, initially announced in July, will be overseen by executive producers Paul Grellong and Eric Kripke, with Kripke also taking on the role of showrunner. In a combined statement, they described the show as “bizarre” and twisted.

Regarding the central series within this franchise, production for the fifth and concluding season is now in progress. Not long ago, Karl Urban (Billy Butcher’s actor) unveiled an on-set snapshot, showing him seated in a car.
