The creator of the hit show “The Boys“, Eric Kripke, recently shared some thrilling news about the forthcoming spin-off titled “The Boys: Mexico”.
Initially unveiled in the year 2023, this upcoming series on Amazon Prime Video belongs to their superhero franchise. The executive producers for this project are none other than Diego Luna, famously known for his role in ‘Andor’, and Gael García Bernal, who’s best recognized from ‘Werewolf by Night’. What sets this story apart is its location: it unfolds right here in Mexico.
According to Kripke, the pilot episode for “The Boys: Mexico” is currently being produced, as he divulged this information during his recent chat with Collider.

This place is incredibly fascinating! Frankly, one can never truly predict anything, but let me tell you, it’s not unlike our own reality in many ways. However, there’s a distinct twist to it that makes it feel fresh and new. It’s as if we’ve stepped into an alternate version of Earth, and the fun we’re having here is simply unparalleled!
As a player, I can’t wait to see what Gael and Diego bring to the table as executive producers. Their involvement has been incredible, and from what I’ve seen of the script, things are looking promising! So, while I can’t predict the future, I have a feeling that this game is going to be something special.

2023 saw Prime Video reveal that Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (known for Blue Beetle) is writing the script for the Mexico adaptation of The Boys. However, since then, no additional information concerning the creative team, actors, or plot has been disclosed.
In other parts of the series, Season 2 of Gen V is coming out next week. This spin-off follows the new generation of superheroes at Godolkin University’s Crimefighting School as they battle it out for a spot on The Seven.
In its initial run, the show was incredibly well-received by audiences and critics alike. Some commentators went so far as to call it a captivating series that unfolds within a complex and enigmatic universe.

In simple terms, the second season of “Gen V” serves as a precursor for the upcoming fifth and last season of “The Boys” in the coming year. The filming of the new episodes has already been completed, with Anthony Starr and Karl Urban ready to bring their characters back for one last hurrah.
After the finale of the original series, Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront in the upcoming spin-off titled “Vought Rising“.
The show unfolds as a captivating murder-mystery set in 1950s New York City, and it also delves into the beginnings of both the characters and Vought International, providing viewers with their origins.
Mexico hasn’t announced when they will release it, but Season 2 of The Boys premieres on Amazon Prime Video starting September 17th.
