The Bloodline angle enters intriguing chapter on Monday Night Raw
As a lifelong WWE fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless superstars, I must say that the current Bloodline angle is undeniably one of the most captivating storylines in recent years. The intricate web of alliances, betrayals, and power struggles has kept me glued to my screen each week, eagerly waiting for the next twist.
For several years now, storylines in WWE television have revolved around the Bloodline faction, with Roman Reigns at its core. Although he’s not currently the Undisputed WWE Champion, his angle continues to play a significant role in many developments within the promotion. Notably, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens have betrayed former allies due to their ties with Reigns, hinting that Seth Rollins might follow suit, potentially leading us into an exciting next chapter of the narrative.
2023 and 2024 marked the beginning of some of WWE’s most compelling storytelling in recent history, with McIntyre at its heart. Each time he spoke, viewers found themselves agreeing, “yes, he makes a valid point.” McIntyre made it clear that those who supported Reigns were on his list, and this became the central theme of his character transformation.
The same is happening with Kevin Owens. After years of fighting The Bloodline, he’s taken aback at the idea of Cody Rhodes jumping to side with him. He even alluded to dealing with Sami Zayn at some point, as he re-joined the OG Bloodline for WarGames.
10 years ago, my journey led me to The Shield, and that pivotal moment is now bringing me back into focus. It’s a narrative twist that’s been hinted at before, but with WWE currently weaving their history into the present, the anticipation for where this storyline goes is electrifying.
Could it be possible that Kensington, Ryder, and McIntyre might team up temporarily due to a shared motive? Since they all have reasons to retaliate against those who are aligned with Reigns. This could be an effective strategy to sideline them from the title race while still maintaining their relevance in a compelling narrative. It’s impressive how WWE has managed to weave such complex storylines involving Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Kevin Owes, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn all at once, which was once a rarity in the WWE. A promotion that used to lack intriguing tales to support its shows.
It’s quite intriguing to watch how this storyline unfolds in the upcoming weeks and months. WWE is preparing for the Royal Rumble event within a few weeks, marking the start of WrestleMania season. This period is when the major narratives are highlighted, and with such a large cast of prominent figures involved simultaneously, WWE television becomes an absolute must-watch.
