The Block’s Ricky Recard spotted with new love Erin Lee in public for first time after dumping girlfriend Lauren Smith for the married makeup artist he met while filming the show

The 34-year-old plumber was called a “heartbreaker” by his former partner, Lauren Smith, following his decision to break up with her before an international vacation, as he chose instead to pursue a relationship with a married makeup artist he had met during the filming of the show.
The couple seemed completely untroubled as they ventured out for a shopping excursion in Seaford, Victoria – a place where Ricky resides.
Erin walked ahead of her boyfriend, carrying what appeared to be a bottle of alcohol and a mixer.
Meanwhile, Ricky was carrying a load of drinks under his arm, and later, he was seen with a bag of grocery items as well.
He dressed down on a comical black tank top with lettering that read ‘shut up and fish’.
The television personality accessorized with vibrant watermelon-hued shorts, eye-catching neon green socks featuring playful fish motifs, and fun fish-themed sandals.
He finished off his outfit with a dark hat, looking casual as he took multiple visits to the car to fill it up with groceries, seeming calm and composed throughout.
Makeup artist Erin opted for an olive green cropped shit that put her toned stomach on display.
She also included a set of light grey athletic pants and white trainers, along with some decorative touches.
For the very first time, the pair have been spotted together in a public setting since the 34-year-old plumber ended his relationship with Lauren.
For three months, she stayed at home while he was away filming a new season of Nine’s renovation show on Philip Island.
Shortly following their separation, it came to light that he began dating Erin – a divorced mother of two – who ended her relationship with her former spouse, a heartbroken man, to pursue a romance with the lead actor from the show.
Instead of making matters worse, Recard swiftly departed for a vacation with his fresh girlfriend, forcing Lauren to attend their planned romantic trip to Mexico alone for her 30th birthday celebration.
‘I was absolutely blindsided,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
For a period of three months, I took care of his dogs and managed his home, all while lending a hand to his staff with the business operations.
Smith mentioned that the couple had planned a vacation abroad to mark her significant birthday, it being their first time leaving their young child behind.
She mentioned that our plan was to depart around early July, marking her 30th birthday, but unfortunately, we parted ways approximately two weeks following his return from filming.
While I was in Mexico, I discovered that it seemed like he had started a relationship with Erin during the period when I was not around.
Card, a resident of Melbourne, has been openly sharing about his blossoming connection with Erin, who is 40 years old, across various social media platforms.
The couple flew to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland last month and ‘hard launched’ their relationship on his private Instagram page.
He posted an image of the couple together with the caption: ‘Beach time with this stunner.’
On a Thursday, Lee too posted a picture of herself along with Recard, accompanied by this caption: ‘At times, unforeseen paths can guide us towards more radiant destinations and the joy we’ve always sought.’
‘Trust the journey.’
As a faithful devotee, I’d like to express that my understanding is, following the dissolution of my union with Lee, there have been rumors suggesting she became involved with Lucas Day – who bears a striking resemblance to her former love interest, Recard – but only after our relationship had concluded.
‘We are separated now and I’ve dealt with it,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.
‘They got together after we split when he got back from Mexico in July and we were done then.’
Day acknowledged that he shares an unusual likeness with Lee’s latest partner, describing their resemblance as peculiar.
‘It is a bit strange, it definitely is,’ he said.
In a recent interview with New Idea, Recard confirmed his new lover, but didn’t identify her.
Strangely enough, even though she was employed as a makeup artist for The Block, he asserted that she had no idea about his involvement in the program.
‘I can definitely say she was impressed, and why wouldn’t she be?’ he said.
‘The reason why she was impressed was not because I’m on The Block. She thinks it’s pretty funny.
‘She didn’t know I was on The Block when we started seeing each other.’
He even claimed she poked fun at him and joked she was now dating ‘someone famous’.
Additionally, Recard addressed viewers who affectionately referred to him as a heartthrob during this year’s highly-awaited 20th anniversary season.
He’s garnered a significant number of female admirers, with numerous spectators declaring him their ultimate celebrity heartthrob, expressing adoration for his handsome, rough-hewn features.
People are smitten not only by his talent but also his upbeat demeanor and playful wit. They’ve been expressing their affection on social media, declaring that they’re rooting for Ricky’s Yellow Team as their preferred choice.
The plumber dismissed the idea of being labeled a “celebrity crush,” arguing that his level of fame doesn’t warrant such a title.
‘I don’t know if I consider myself a celebrity, seriously,’ he told Yahoo Lifestyle.
In order to be a celebrity, wouldn’t it make sense that you should have an impressive background? For example, just like Shelley [Craft], who has built up her reputation with roles on Saturday Disney, Funniest Home Videos, and The Block for many years.
She’s widely recognized as an Australian symbol, while I’m simply unknown. However, if someone fancies me, that’s okay. I’m grateful for their affection.
