Kristian and Mimi, the newlywed couple from The Block, admitted that participating in the Channel Nine renovation program created significant stress on their marriage.

On the renovation show, teams may encounter their toughest test during a week since they’re required to tackle the maximum number of tasks.
During an interview with TV Week, they referred to their experience on the show as a “tremendous trial” for their marriage.
In simpler terms, Kristian, age 31, shared with the outlet that the competition was increasingly intense, making it challenging to manage all the tasks. Additionally, they mentioned a lack of agreement among everyone involved, which ultimately made the situation quite difficult.
‘We couldn’t get our priorities straight. It was really hard,’ Mimi agreed.
Elsewhere in the chat, Kristian said his experience on the show triggered his emotions.
‘I’ve had a problem with anger in the past,’ he explained.
Over time, I’ve become much more composed. The resurfacing of that part of me highlights how challenging The Block truly is.
During Hallway Week, at some point, the electrician appears frustrated when he abruptly drops his phone and strikes a nearby fence following an argument with Mimi that ended with her hanging up on him.
Mimi offered a piece of guidance to other married pairs contemplating participating in The Block: ‘It can be extremely challenging, and it serves as the toughest test of your marriage. I wouldn’t recommend it.’
Following the news, Jesse and Paige from The Block have shared their reasons for canceling their wedding after departing from Channel Nine’s show.
On Monday, the pair, once labeled as “villains” in the series and who left in September following a producer’s intervention during a fierce dispute, shared with Woman’s Day that they had to delay their wedding.
The Blockheads’ wedding, originally scheduled for December, has been called off this year because their schedule has turned out to be extremely busy, given their involvement in the show.
Paige, 28, explained that they needed more time to plan the special day after their busy year.
She explained that this year has been incredibly busy, leaving her mentally drained, and as a result, they weren’t able to devote the necessary time and effort to make their wedding truly special.
Her fiancé Jesse, 30, added that pushing back the wedding was a matter of focus.
To us, this wedding is more than just an event; it represents the act of marrying one another. Given the way this year has unfolded, we believe our attention and commitment to it might be divided,” he explained.
The pair maintained that they emerged from their turbulent television experience with a stronger bond than before.
Paige acknowledged, “Our bond was unwavering. Yet, it’s not hard to see why others might perceive otherwise.
Last month, Paige and Jesse shared the news that they had postponed their wedding, expressing their feelings in a sincere message to their invitees.
The engaged couple sent their wedding guests a sad note revealing the ceremony was off.
In a twist that life sometimes takes, our wedding scheduled for the 12th of this month needs to be rescheduled due to some unexpected events we’ve encountered.
They announced that they’d chosen not to tie the knot just yet, opting instead to delay their wedding ceremony for an undetermined future date.
Given the circumstances, we’re regretfully postponing our plans to celebrate our love and commitment with everyone. It seems that this year, it’s just not the appropriate time.
