The Block’s Charlotte addresses rumours of a romance with her builder after sizzling on set chemistry
As a dedicated fan of The Block, I have been following this season with bated breath. The drama, the design, and the camaraderie among contestants have always been captivating, but this year seems to be taking things to a whole new level.
The Block star Charlotte has hit back at rumours there is a romance brewing between her and builder Jack.
In the contest, Charlotte along with her sibling Maddie enlisted the aid of Jack, a skilled carpenter who is part of their actual home renovation enterprise, to lend a hand.
As they find it harder to connect with the other groups, they’ve been increasingly leaning on the friendly handyman for friendship.
In Tuesday’s broadcast, the producers added fuel to a possible romantic spark by showcasing a heartwarming compilation of Charlotte and Jack, set against the melody of the well-known Foreigner love ballad “I Want To Know What Love Is.
While seated on the couch alongside Maddy, a producer directly inquired Charlotte if there was any romantic involvement between them.
‘Let me make this so clear, there is zero romance between me and Jack,’ she replied.
‘You can squish that one.’
In my fervor as a devoted fanboy, I couldn’t help but eagerly follow the producer’s relentless pursuit of a fresh romantic pairing. He confidently shared with the dazzling reality star his belief in the undeniable spark she shared with Jack.
‘Well, there is nothing,’ Charlotte replied matter-of-factly.
‘We’re not each other’s type and nothing has ever happened between us romantically.’
In conversation with Yahoo Lifestyle, Charlotte emphasized again that her bond with Jack is purely platonic.
‘Just to be clear, there is zero romance between Jack and I,’ Charlotte reiterated.
For approximately four years now, we’ve maintained a deep friendship with no incidents or changes. There’s never been, nor will there be, any alteration in our relationship.
‘He’s like our brother, so no, definitely not.’
More recently, Maddy and Charlotte have opened up about the ‘bullying’ experiences they encountered from other competitors during the show.
In a recent turn of events, the Sydney sisters stepped onto the stage for the intense 20th season of the renovation contest this month, following the decision of Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire to put down their tools.
In a conversation with Yahoo Lifestyle on Tuesday, Maddy admitted that it’s been challenging for her to watch the current season due to the unkind treatment she and her sister received from the fellow competitors.
On Sunday evening’s broadcast, Maddy shared her feelings with the media, expressing that it left her feeling quite distressed. She put it in her own words: “I just couldn’t bear to watch it.
‘These people are being cruel to us and I don’t really understand why.’
Their rivals found the unveiling of the guest bathroom on Sunday evening rather underwhelming, labeling it as ‘conservative’ and ‘plain’.
As a devoted admirer, I must confess that Kylie and Brad Baker, my esteemed rivals, chose an unconventional response during our recent competition. Instead of offering applause for the victorious duo, they displayed a rather unusual silence, perhaps hinting at simmering feelings of discontent after their loss.
Furthermore, the final version revealed Kylie and Brad expressing their belief to the cameras that the contest on The Block was biased, as they perceived themselves as the most disliked individuals.
Maddy spoke up again, stating, “We didn’t act in a way that warranted such behavior towards us.
