This week, the creators of The Block faced criticism following an unexpected incident involving a two-year-old that was broadcasted on television.
On Monday, host Scott Cam went fishing with his colleagues Robby and Matt at the Tuki Trout Farm in Smeaton, Victoria, just a 20-minute drive from where the TV show is filmed in Daylesford.
As they leisurely fished and enjoyed the serene surroundings, a distant horn sounded, shattering the calm and interrupting their peaceful excursion.
Robert told the group that his two-year-old grandson, seated in a car parked close by, was causing the beeping noise.
The toddler somehow managed to start the car, only to crash it into a tree on a nearby embankment
In an on-camera conversation, Matt and Robby confessed their surprise, but soon found humor in the situation.

Mat told the camera, “We’re reversing, the car is moving forward, and it’s heading towards that tree.” Laughing uncontrollably was Robby in this situation.
Robert approached the vehicle, opened its door, switched off the engine, and gently took a child who was about two years old by the hand. Standing there, the two of them seemed to be wondering aloud why nobody seems concerned or alarmed about this situation.
Upon pulling the boy out of the car, his grandfather found him crying. Yet, even in this situation, Scott Cam found a moment of humor.
‘That kid will remember this afternoon for the rest of his life,’ he said, laughing.
Additionally, the situation didn’t stop there as Grandma Jan asserted that the producers had assured her that the accident wouldn’t be broadcast on television.
Jan informed Yahoo Lifestyle, “It was just a small, insignificant incident, and we kindly requested they keep it private. They assured us they would.
We’re deeply disheartened because despite the fact that the child is absolutely fine and cherished, our expectations were not met when it was displayed in such a manner.
Speaking to the publication, I myself was left in a state of stunned amazement following the unfortunate incident we all witnessed.

He stated, “I was there, the atmosphere was filled with an intense silence as if everyone was shocked, and a child was being forcibly removed from a vehicle that appeared to be nearly three years old.
A young child accidentally crashed a car into a tree. Fortunately, Robert managed to pull his 2.5-year-old child out of the vehicle, and he reassured him, saying, “Don’t worry, you’ll be okay.”
The duo additionally stated that Scott dismissed the event with a laugh, commenting: “With us two, you just never know what might transpire.
The viewers didn’t find it amusing, instead, a large number expressed their disapproval on social media, criticizing the seemingly careless response to the accident.
Inquisitively, someone inquired, ‘Was The Block watched by anyone tonight?’ It seems this person wonders if it’s only them or if they’re being overly sensitive when they think that a 2-year-old in a vehicle crashing into a tree was treated somewhat lightly…
Another replied with: ‘Yeah, I would’ve left that out of the edit.’
A bystander narrated a story about a friend who went through a comparable event, which involved a young child at a preschool.
‘Things could turn out much worse,’ they said.

Many actions children take can be amusing, although they might carry a small risk, but what you see here is quite unruly.” This version attempts to maintain the original meaning while using simpler language and making it more engaging for the reader.
Yet another replied with: OMG yes. I was like: “Someone going to have CPS knocking soon.”‘
Fans of Other Block found themselves puzzled by the event, as it only generated more mysteries instead of providing clear answers.
One wondered aloud, “What was the reason for the key being in the car?” Meanwhile, another spectator posed a different question: “Why was a child found alone in the car, holding the key?
In a different context, someone else chimed in with this question: “A two-year-old takes control of a vehicle and causes an accident – how was he able to operate the pedals?” The other person had inquired.
Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
