The Block releases nail-biting grand finale trailer - as host Scott Cam reveals 'never before seen' twist coming

As an avid follower of The Block for several seasons now, I must say this upcoming finale promises to be nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. With the cryptic hints from Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli about his possible departure, the anticipation is reaching an all-time high. If he does indeed decide to bid farewell to the show, it would certainly leave a void in the series that no other buyer has managed to fill quite like him.

The Block has released a nail-biting trailer ahead of its grand finale

On Sunday, Scott Cam and their popular renovation program shared a combined Instagram post advertising the finale, during which the victorious team will be revealed.

Shots of the luxurious holiday homes that the contestants have built and remodelled are seen.

In a video clip, Cam, aged 61, excitedly announces that our resort on Philip Island has reached its grand moment – indeed, the long-awaited auction is now upon us.

Next, the music transitions into intense themes, accompanied by images of hosts Shelley Craft and Cam looking stunned.

Cam exclaims, “I’ve never seen that before! What’s happening here?” This shows his surprise after witnessing something unusual.

‘Uh, hello? What the hell?’ he says, before the trailer ends.

In a surprising turn of events, Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli, known as The Block’s most debatable contender, has stirred curiosity and conjecture by suggesting that he may permanently exit the series.

35-year-old Portelli posted a mysterious message for his audience, expressing, “It’s time for me to part ways from The Block, and as I go, I’ll make sure it’s quite the spectacular exit!

The entrepreneur’s post sparked curiosity among followers, prompting one fan to question, “Are you saying goodbye to The Block? Is this your final season as a contestant?

The unclear message has caused speculation among people about whether the contentious buying period of Portelli on The Block might be coming to an end.

On a Saturday, the wealthy individual made an appearance at The Block’s Phillip Island location, which was bustling with anticipation on the day of the highly awaited auction.

During the reality show, the cast and production team interacted with prospective purchasers of this year’s five festive houses, heightening the buzz at the location.

With typical self-assurance, Portelli seemed jubilant – even going so far as to warmly hug Maddy and Charlotte, the newcomer contestants, after the exit of Jessie and Paige.

Although it’s not certain who successfully placed the bid, Adrian appeared pleased with his acquisitions and sported a wide grin during the filming of the Channel Nine program.

For a moment, he was seen rejoicing alongside 2024 participants Maddy and Charlotte, warmly hugging the reality renovation team.

The sisters joined the series later on, stepping in to manage House One following the departure of Jessie and Paige from the program.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but wonder about the mysterious ownership of the properties Adrian acquired at that intriguing auction. And guess what? The identity of these properties and the ultimate victor of the series will be unveiled this coming Sunday – oh, the suspense!

Lately, the final episodes of Block’s season have mainly showcased a fierce competition between Portelli and wealthy entrepreneur Danny Wallis, both trying to top one another in their bids for numerous properties.

Between them, the cashed up pair have purchased 15 Block properties in recent years.

In 2023, Wallis returned empty-handed as Portelli purchased a trio of houses for a grand total of $12.4 million. Among them was the house belonging to Steph and Gian, which Portelli acquired for $5 million, despite its initial reserve price of $3.35 million.

Leaving The Block by Portelli might mean a halt in the unprecedented earnings that contestants such as Steph and Gian have amassed, which totaled 1.65 million from their property sale and an extra 100,000 in prize money.
