Growing up, my father introduced me to Newhart’s stand-up routines and his groundbreaking sitcoms, “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart.” These shows were a staple in our household, and I was always in awe of Newhart’s unique brand of humor that continues to influence comedians and writers to this day.

Bill Prady, the boss of “The Big Bang Theory,” and its star Kaley Cuoco have expressed their condolences following the passing of Bob Newhart.

On Thursday (July 18), the actor who brought Arthur Jeffries/Professor Proton to life in the sitcom passed away at the age of 94 after dealing with several brief ailments. In remembrance, Prady has posted a tribute on Instagram.

“This man was instrumental and difficult to put into words for his impact on every comedian and comedy writer that followed. A profound loss,” Prady expressed in the caption, accompanied by a picture of him next to Newhart.

In her Instagram post, Cuoco expressed: “It was a privilege to see Bob Newhart’s brilliance in action. He was refined, caring, giving, and undeniably funny – every single take, every time. An icon, forever etched in our memories. Bob, I will always cherish the moments you brought into our lives.”

Prady’s post drew heartfelt reactions from fans who expressed their condolences for Newhart. One follower shared, “He was an amazing person. My father introduced me to his humor when I was young, and I became a fan right away.”
