As a lifelong cinema fan, I can honestly say Star Wars has been a constant source of joy for half a century. Those adventures in that incredible galaxy far, far away have consistently delivered, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Honestly, there’s so much new and exciting Star Wars content coming to both theaters and streaming that I’m thrilled about what the future holds!
In the last five years, Lucasfilm has focused more on creating Star Wars stories for television. With the launch of Disney Plus, they’ve been able to produce a number of shows that expand the Star Wars universe, including popular series like *The Mandalorian*, *Ahsoka*, *Obi-Wan Kenobi*, and *The Acolyte*, giving fans plenty of new adventures.
So, while the focus is definitely shifting back to movies – with *The Mandalorian and Grogu* leading the charge next year – Disney+ isn’t quite done with *Star Wars* series just yet. In fact, we’re getting another one surprisingly soon! It’s good to know there’s still more *Star Wars* coming to our screens, even as the franchise expands back to the big screen.
Star Wars: Visions season 3 promises an epic time for fans
Get ready for the third season of *Star Wars: Visions*, coming to Disney Plus on October 29th! While it hasn’t gotten as much attention as the live-action *Star Wars* shows, many fans consider it just as good, or even better. It’s known for its incredible stories, and the new trailer suggests the third season will be an unforgettable experience.
Watch it below:
One of the most anticipated parts of *Star Wars: Visions* Volume 3 is that it will continue the stories from some of the most popular episodes of Season 1. Episodes like “The Ninth Jedi”, “The Village Bride”, and “The Duel” were fan favorites, and it’s thrilling to think we’ll get to revisit those worlds. We’re confident the creators will do justice to the original tales while delivering another exciting and captivating adventure, just like they have throughout the series.
Star Wars: Visions quickly distinguished itself from other shows in the franchise. As an anthology series, it tells original stories inspired by the Star Wars universe, but not set within its established timeline. The first season was entirely animated in the anime style, while the second season expanded to include a wider range of international animation styles, ensuring each story looked as distinct as the narratives themselves.

As a huge fan of cinema, I’ve always loved anthology series because they can really go anywhere with their stories. What’s special about *Visions* is that, being animated and self-contained, it feels free to take chances that other *Star Wars* shows just can’t. That makes it such a fresh experience! Plus, the format opens the door to revisiting those incredible worlds later on – and I’m thrilled we’re getting more in season 3. It’s exciting to think about what new stories they’ll tell!
Star Wars: Visions is a truly unique and daring series on Disney Plus, and it’s brought a fresh perspective to the entire Star Wars universe. While it hasn’t received the same level of attention as shows like The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett, it’s consistently delighted viewers and become a fan favorite. We’re excited to see what the third season brings!
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 arrives on Disney Plus on October 29, 2025.
