You can now watch Predator: Badlands at home! Some are calling it the best movie in the Predator series. The film, which came out in theaters in November, features Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi and Elle Fanning and is the ninth installment in the franchise.
The movie takes place on a dangerous, faraway planet and centers on a young Predator who has been exiled from his people. He unexpectedly teams up with Thia (Fanning), a human-like synthetic created by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, forming a surprising partnership.
The logline reads: “An outcast Predator with an unlikely ally pursues the ultimate adversary.”

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, while still violent, this installment of the “Predator” series is surprisingly the most human-focused one yet, building upon the core action and suspense the franchise is known for instead of cutting back.
According to Time Out, the film is smart in how it plays with the established rules of the series, adding intrigue without lessening the impact of the villain. They believe director Trachtenberg is consistently improving the franchise with each new movie.
