The Beekeeper 2 Set Photos Reveal First Look At Jason Statham

New photos from the set of The Beekeeper 2 offer a first glimpse of Jason Statham back as Adam Clay. Filming is underway on the action thriller, which continues the story of the original film and features several returning cast members. Timo Tjahjanto is directing the sequel, with a script by Umair Aleem.

UnBoxPHD recently shared behind-the-scenes photos from The Beekeeper 2 on X, giving fans a first look at Jason Statham returning to the series. The photos also introduce Emmy Raver-Lampman, reprising her role as Verona Parker, and Yara Shahidi, who joins the cast as a new character. The images depict the actors standing on a street.

The first picture shows Jason Statham and Janelle Monae Raver-Lampman standing next to each other. Statham is wearing a yellow raincoat, and Raver-Lampman is holding a pistol. In the second picture, Raver-Lampman still has her gun, while Statham is now holding a larger gun with a scope. A separate picture features Yara Shahidi walking through a crowd, but doesn’t provide any further information.

In the finale of The Beekeeper, Adam killed Derek Danforth, completing his quest to avenge his friend Eloise Parker, who died by suicide after being defrauded by associates of the President’s son. After a final confrontation with Verona, she let him escape, and he dove into the ocean to get away. But his journey isn’t finished yet.

Considering how the first movie ended, Adam would likely be a high-priority target for authorities, even with Derek’s involvement. But recent photos showing Adam and Verona apparently collaborating suggest a different scenario. Since the plot of The Beekeeper 2 is still secret, it’s unclear how they’ll team up again.

Several familiar faces will be back for the next installment of The Beekeeper, including Bobby Naderi as FBI Agent Matt Wiley, Jemma Redgrave as President Jessica Danforth, and Jeremy Irons as Wallace Westwyld, head of security for Danforth Enterprises. Joining the cast alongside Shahidi are newcomers Pom Klementieff and Adam Copeland, though their characters are currently being kept under wraps.

Even though the released images are just a brief sneak peek at The Beekeeper 2, they give us an interesting hint about what to expect in the movie. It appears Adam is now cooperating with the FBI, or at least with agent Verona, and this change in their relationship will likely be central to the story’s unfolding.
