It seems like more celebrities are spending their New Year’s holidays in the UK this year, opting to stay despite the cold weather instead of traveling to warmer destinations.
Leading the trend are the Beckhams, who have opted to stay closer to home as 2026 approaches.
Instead of spending New Year’s Eve on vacation abroad, the well-known family celebrated at their luxurious country home in the Cotswolds, which is worth £12 million.
This is a big change from last year, when David and Victoria enjoyed a lavish vacation in Miami.
The couple famously spend the Christmas holidays escaping the cold weather at their luxurious £60 million Florida mansion.
This year, the Beckhams are celebrating a more relaxed and low-key New Year’s, enjoying a cosy time at home in the cold weather of the UK.
Victoria shared a photo of her £1,290 dress from her fashion line on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, but David unexpectedly interrupted her.
I remember she was telling me about an outfit she wore recently – a beautiful teal dress. But then she suddenly asked me if I was planning on changing clothes tonight, which was a bit of a surprise!
Victoria then turned the camera to her husband, who was dressed much more casually in a T-shirt and corduroys. He said he was ready, prompting Victoria to ask if she had overdone it with her outfit.
David said: ‘You might be a little bit overdressed darling tonight.’
The Spice Girl gently explained, ‘I’m the sophisticated one, you know,’ and he playfully replied, ‘What’s with the quiet voice?’

On Tuesday evening, their son, Romeo, shared on his Instagram Stories that he was experiencing a classic British pastime: attending a darts match.
