The Bachelor stars FINALLY tie the knot two years after their televised engagement
Zach Shallcross of The Bachelor fame has married winning contestant Kaity Biggar.
During the 27th season of their ongoing TV series in 2023, the pair became officially engaged. As reported by TMZ after examining court records, they tied the knot on May 23, 2023, in Texas.
Following two proposals – one broadcasted nationally, and another during a trip to Portugal – is where it happened for the 28-year-old gentleman.
The intention had always been to postpone marriage for two years. In an interview with People in March 2023, Shallcross explained, ‘At this moment, our primary focus is cohabiting in Austin, deepening our understanding of each other, and simply observing how things unfold. There’s no need to hurry.’
Thirty-year-old Kaity concurred, expressing, “With all the time we have ahead of us, there’s no need for haste. There simply isn’t.
On the Wednesday episode of The Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Zach and Kaity shared that they had gotten married.

The nurse revealed that they tied the knot on May 23rd, having a delightful, intimate ceremony at a chapel with their dearest companions present.
Her new husband added, ‘We kept it very intimate. Very private.’
Guests included Zach’s parents, two younger sisters, plus Kaity’s mom, aunt and brother.
They confessed that they had initially intended for a larger wedding, but decided to make it smaller after weighing the financial commitment required.
‘I just took a step back, and I was like, “I don’t know if we need this,”‘ Biggar reasoned.
She conveyed, ‘The essence of a wedding lies in maintaining our love and connection, yet I found myself overly focused on minor aspects such as “My mom might prefer this, but those people would prefer that.” It seems I got lost in the details, and perhaps forgot the main purpose of it all.’
And the blonde beauty explained one of her family member’s role in bringing the couple together.
As the fortunate recipient of my aunt’s nomination for “The Bachelor,” it was her keen eye that led us to the enchanting chapel where fate unfolded. I can’t help but feel it was destiny that brought us together in this idyllic setting, and I must admit, it felt just right.
For their honeymoon, they will enjoy a trip to Italy in March 2026.
Zach mentioned that they are thrilled about organizing their honeymoon as it’s something that truly reflects them, a way to celebrate the euphoria of their wedding.
Last November, during their two-year anniversary, he made his second proposal to Kaity in Lisbon, Portugal.
‘What great fortune it is for me to be able to respond ‘yes’ to you not once, but twice!’, which reflects Biggar’s original sentiment in a more natural and easier-to-read manner.
