The Apprentice stars hits back at ‘undeserved’ firings as Alan Sugar makes show history with landmark TRIPLE sacking after disastrous task

Not one, but THREE candidates were fired from Thursday’s episode of The Apprentice.

The latest season of the popular BBC show is underway, and Lord Sugar has already eliminated six contestants who were hoping to become successful entrepreneurs.

This week the teams were tasked with putting on a corporate away day for clients in Egypt.

One team offered customers an exciting dune buggy adventure in the desert, while the other chose a relaxing lagoon tour.

Megan Ruiter’s team lost $290 this week after half of her clients requested refunds due to issues with the raw food and having to eat while wet.

Megan faced a big decision and chose to invite Carrington Saunders and Andrea Cooper back into the meeting room.

I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes! Lord Sugar just went completely rogue and did something no one expected – he fired three candidates all at once! It was a total shocker, and they were all sent home! History was made, I’m telling you! It was insane!

When asked if the firing was justified, Carrington stated, ‘Honestly, no. I don’t believe I deserved to be fired. I admit I made a mistake.’

‘The show isn’t based on your cooking skills, it is based on your business skills.

‘So, that’s upsetting and also because I actually can cook!

While the refunds were quite large, which I understand to some degree, I still don’t believe I was entitled to them.

When asked about her dismissal, Andrea stated that she didn’t believe the stated reason for her firing was correct.

‘I don’t think I were negative. I’m not a negative person.

I’m generally an optimistic person. Sometimes, those new to the business world mistake straightforwardness for negativity, but it’s simply a matter of being professional.

Ultimately, it comes down to the bottom line – trying to cut costs and find more affordable or even free alternatives.

Meanwhile project manager Megan said: ‘I think it’s a tricky one.

Looking back, I understand why things went wrong. As the project manager, I ultimately take responsibility for the loss – a lot of it was due to my decisions and oversight.

‘I was managing the task, so it’s not ideal.

‘But then also, I feel like I wasn’t necessarily to blame for the refunds.

We would have successfully completed the project and kept the client’s funding if not for the refunds. I was personally responsible for securing that money thanks to my experience in the events industry.

Last week saw Vanessa Tetteh-Squire leave the competition.

She’s now part of a group that includes Roxanne Hamedi, Tanmay Hingorani, Marcus Donkoh, Nikki Jetha, and Georgina Newton.

Viewers of The Apprentice were upset last Thursday, believing a significant mistake in the boardroom led to Vanessa’s elimination from the show.

The project manager was under pressure when her team didn’t perform well in a challenge where they had to sell flowers and make a profit.

Vanessa, the project manager of the team that didn’t win, faced criticism from Lord Sugar after it was discovered her team only earned £564.59 – less than a quarter of what the winning team made.

Even though several team members blamed Lawrence Rosenberg, a sub-team leader, for not keeping them informed, Vanessa also decided to invite Pascha Myhill back into the meeting room.

Lord Sugar seemed surprised to see Pascha back in the competition, questioning Vanessa’s decision and admitting he didn’t think Pascha had made any mistakes in the task.

Viewers immediately reacted on social media, widely criticizing the decision and suggesting it likely contributed to Lord Sugar’s choice to eliminate Vanessa.

One viewer wrote to Digital Spy, frustrated that Vanessa brought Pascha back. They felt Karishma was much more responsible for the task’s failure than Pascha, and hoped Vanessa would be removed from her position.

One person commented, “Pascha?? It’s not your fault you lost, Vanessa, but this could get you fired.” Another agreed, questioning, “Why did Vanessa buy Pascha back? That was a mistake!”

One person commented that Vanessa unexpectedly and harshly criticized Pascha, which they found shocking.

This follows Vanessa’s criticism of her fellow contestants, accusing them of not trying hard enough after Lord Sugar eliminated them on the latest episode.

The Apprentice airs on BBC.
