The Apothecary Diaries confirmed for Season 3 and new movie

Fans of The Apothecary Diaries have reason to celebrate! A new season is planned for 2026, and a movie will also be released in theaters.

Good news for fans of The Apothecary Diaries! To mark the anime’s second anniversary, TOHO Animation Studio has released a special video with a big announcement.

Get ready for more Maomao! Season three is coming, split into two parts, and there’s even a movie planned to release in between, so fans won’t have to wait long for new content.

The Apothecary Diaries is coming back in 2026

Fans of romance, drama, and mystery should definitely check out The Apothecary Diaries. The anime will be back in October 2026 with the first part of its third season, and the second part will air in April 2027.

Get ready – the series is getting its first big-screen movie! It will premiere in Japan in December 2026 with a brand new story created by the series’ author, Natsu Hyuga.

The popular Apothecary Diaries Exhibition is starting an Asia tour! It will begin in Hong Kong and then visit cities in Mainland China, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and other locations throughout the region.

Fans in five cities across Japan will have a chance to revisit the series in a special retrospective screening event running through the end of May. Starting February 15, 2026, six episodes will be shown over a period of six weeks each. The screenings will be accompanied by appearances from the cast and crew on February 15th (launching the first set of episodes) and April 12th (launching the second set).
