The AEW Women's Division needs a Casino Gauntlet match

As a long-time fan of AEW, I can’t help but be thrilled at the prospect of seeing a Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match. Having attended several AEW shows and witnessed the electrifying energy these events bring, I truly believe this match could be a game-changer for the women’s division.

2024 saw one of All Elite Wrestling’s most exciting additions: the Casino Gauntlet, a thrilling match featuring 21 competitors. Initially, only two wrestlers start off, and others join at specific intervals throughout the match. The contest may conclude before all 21 wrestlers enter, making it unpredictable and full of surprises. The winner receives a title shot as a reward, promising plenty of excitement!

As a dedicated gamer of AEW, I’ve witnessed numerous thrilling matches so far, but it’s high time we saw some female wrestlers take center stage in the Casino Gauntlet. It’s crucial for these talented women to have their own chance to shine and prove that they can hold their ground in this iconic match format. This could be a pivotal moment for the AEW women’s division, which has been receiving increased screen time and compelling storylines lately.

In this competition, two women begin, and at specific time intervals, additional contestants join. The victor of each match receives a future opportunity to challenge for either the TBS Championship or the AEW Women’s World Championship. This setup encourages every wrestler to give their best, but the question remains: Will this multi-contestant match take place before the year concludes?

It seems unlikely, given the three upcoming pay-per-view events and ample TV time, that we’ll see a Women’s Casino Gauntlet match in 2024. However, kicking off 2025 with the inaugural Women’s Casino Gauntlet would be an excellent move for AEW, offering something new and invigorating for their women’s division. This change could bring significant advantages to the women’s division that might not be as apparent during men’s matches.

She lost the title at All In and the only way she could get her rematch would be if she were to win the Casino Gauntlet. Or somebody who is looking for an opportunity to reach their potential, someone like Anna Jay who just went on a tour of Japan with Stardom, or Harley Cameron who at this time is teaming up with Saraya and wants to make the jump to stardom in AEW. Those storylines could be very interesting as they could lead to the match happening.

In order for an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Women’s Casino Battle Royale Match to happen, it needs to be scheduled for the future. I’m intrigued about which competitors might participate in this match. However, since we’re just three months into the year, it’s uncertain if Tony Khan has already planned this event for 2021 or if he intends to save it for a later date, perhaps 2025. Ultimately, whether the match takes place this year or in the future depends on both fan and wrestler interest.

The Women’s division in AEW has been getting more attention over the last four to five months and we’ve seen the benefits of the attention they have been receiving. Now it’s time to take the division to the next level and what better way than by presenting a Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match? The Casino Gauntlet Match is exciting with the anticipation of who is in the match and who comes out next being one of the best parts of the match. Imagine what we could have if the women had their own Casino Gauntlet Match. The opportunity is right there for this moment Tony Khan, now it’s time to make the match happen.
