The AEW women’s division is running circles around the men’s division
As a dedicated fan of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), I cannot help but be thrilled with the current state of the women’s division. For years, fans have clamored for equal representation and development of female wrestlers in professional wrestling, and AEW has answered that call in a major way. The July 25 episode of AEW Dynamite was a testament to this, as it featured some of the most intriguing storylines and character development coming from the women’s division.
AEW has made an impressive mark in professional wrestling, leaving fans eager for top-notch performances every week. While there are aspects of AEW’s weekly programming that raise questions, the women’s division has been a consistent standout and a significant improvement from its past.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: The Blood and Guts match on AEW Dynamite last July 25th was hyped up as always, promising raw violence. Big names like Swerve Strickland and Kazuchika Okada were there to deliver, but honestly, it didn’t live up to my expectations. Despite being the main event, it wasn’t the talk of the town (in a good way) after the show ended.
In this episode of AEW, the women’s division took center stage more than ever before, with significant developments in ongoing feuds. Toni Storm confronted Mariah May following their violent clash, leading to an anticipated showdown at All-In. Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale’s feud intensified, positioning one of them as a strong title contender. Newcomer Kamille made her debut by attacking Britt Baker, potentially paving the way for Jamie Hayter’s return. Even Hikaru Shida underwent character growth during her loss to Baker.
As a gamer, I can tell you that the last 20 minutes of AEW were packed with non-stop action! The women’s division is truly shining and leaving the men in the dust. New faces keep popping up and making their mark in crucial moments. Each match carries an emotional heft that makes every outcome meaningful. And even if some outcomes were predictable, it didn’t take away from the excitement of seeing it unfold.
Supporters have been eagerly anticipating greater recognition for the women’s division in AEW, and their efforts are now bearing fruit. Although the men’s division is experiencing setbacks, which merits further discussion, the ladies continue to regain momentum despite repeated setbacks. The arrival of Mercedes Mone is often cited as the turning point, and this is true in many ways. However, there have been fluctuations within this division for several years. What sets this apart is that Tony Khan is now making the right choices to maintain excitement within the women’s wrestling scene.
The AEW All-In event is bringing excitement next month with an intriguing lineup, and the women’s division is a major draw, offering captivating moments in All Elite Wrestling lately.
