That’s awkward! Sonia Kruger and Married At First Sight bride Evelyn Ellis wear VERY similar gold gowns on Logies red carpet

It’s television’s night of nights and every celebrity in town wants to be the belle of the ball. 

However, two celebrities from diverse backgrounds had an embarrassing run-in on the red carpet at the 2025 Logies, as they both chose identical dresses.

On Sunday evening, both Evelyn Ellis and Sonia Kruger captured the spotlight with their entrance at The Star in Sydney.

On the significant event, the bride from Married At First Sight and the long-time television presenter both chose stunning golden maxi dresses to wear.

While the frocks are not identical, and made by different designers, the similarity was notable.  

Gold Logie-nominated Sonia, aged 59, turned heads as she made an entrance in a shimmering strapless dress.

Under the lights, the gown crafted by Victorian designer Alin Le’ Kal appeared as if it were liquid gold.

The dress she wore had revealing slits that stretched from top to bottom on either side, adorned with sparkling diamond chains hanging loosely.

On television’s most glamorous evening, Sonia chose a minimalistic approach with her accessories, emphasizing understated grace instead. She adorned just a few stacked rings on one hand and wore an impressive gemstone on the other.

Sonia decided to go for a subtle yet chic look at the TV’s grandest event of the year. Instead of a multitude of accessories, she opted for simple elegance, pairing stacked rings on one hand with a striking gemstone on the other.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve got to mention that the host of Dancing with the Stars turned heads with a chic burgundy nail polish, complemented by natural lips and a touch of smoky eyeshadow. To top it off, she effortlessly styled her golden locks into soft, wavy curls.

In a similar vein, at the age of 29, Evelyn selected another striking choice, likewise devoid of straps and crafted from shimmering metal material.

The dress was designed by Australian couture dressmaker, Ryan Patros.  

The dress showcased multiple layers of beads, further emphasizing the resemblance between its diamond embellishments and those found on Sonia’s jewelry.

The stunning gown showcased a bold, transparent ruching pattern, an alluring, flowing neckline that draped seductively, and a rigid bodice emphasizing her well-defined figure.

She showcased her stylish, wavy brunette bob hairstyle that beautifully framed her face, and her makeup had a classic, glamorous Hollywood look.

Enthusiasts swiftly applauded Evelyn’s change on social platforms, expressing that she appeared ‘completely perfect’ and ‘even more beautiful than during MAFS.’

At the event, the well-known reality TV personality with brown hair, also a former MAFS cast member, will be present together with Duncan James. They will both be taking turns as co-hosts on the red carpet, joined by 9Honey for the occasion.

At the event, Sonia’s eye-catching, large yellow gemstone ring adorned with smaller diamonds drew more admiration than the striking dresses, causing curious glances from attendees.
