TFT Loot Eggs alert: “All Loot Eggs will be opened automatically by March 5th.”
Starting from March 5, TFT Loot Eggs will no longer be usable. However, you still have the opportunity to hatch them manually before this date. On March 5, any unhatched eggs will open automatically.
In a recent announcement, Teamfight Tactics (TFT) has shared that their Loot Eggs feature is set to be phased out. On March 5, these TFT Loot Eggs will be opened automatically for all players.
TFT Loot Eggs
As per a recent announcement on social media by TFT officials, they are retiring the Loot Eggs feature in the game. Players still have until March 5 to take advantage of the current loot system; after that date, any unopened Eggs will automatically pop open.
Loot Eggs leave in TFT patch 13.7
Users having Loot Eggs are notified with a pop-up message to open them before TFT update 13.7. Those who have already acquired everything within the Loot Eggs will instead receive 50 Treasure Tokens per egg, which is sufficient for one draw in any preferred Treasure Realm.
In the latest update patch notes 13.5, Riot Prism (Rodger Caudill) shared the rationale for phasing out Loot Eggs. He mentioned that this change is a result of the arrival of Treasure Realms and the rotating shop, offering a fresh in-game experience.
Riot Prism stated that with the introduction of Treasure Realms and Rotating Shop, Eggs have become rare in our cosmetic systems. Now, we’re tackling the long-overdue task of decluttering and eliminating the scattered loot system that has been present for both mobile and PC users. This change will not only simplify technical maintenance but also move TFT cosmetics to a more streamlined and user-friendly area, such as the Rotating Shop, Pass, and so on.
TFT community reaction
On social media, some users drew parallels between the elimination of Loot Eggs and the Hextech Chests debacle, posting memes related to the Loot Eggs announcement on X and engaging in discussions about it on Reddit. Concurrently, other players on these platforms pointed out that Loot Eggs haven’t been distributed for years now.
