As a gamer with a heart full of nostalgia and a mind always yearning for new challenges, I can hardly contain my excitement over the Tetris x Fortnite integration! The thought of traversing a parkour platformer island while climbing traditional Tetris blocks is almost too much to handle.
Tetris has officially made a map in Fortnite.
Are you fond of both Tetris and Fortnite? It’s been announced that the classic game is going to introduce a special Fortnite map for a $10,000 tournament. This unique event will mark the celebration of Tetris’s upcoming 40th anniversary, making it a significant historical moment within Fortnite.
Tetris integration coming to Fortnite Creative
In a significant expansion for Fortnite’s Creative mode, a Tetris collaboration is now officially on its way. This exciting development has been announced by playSTUDIOS Inc.
The revamped version of the widely acclaimed “Color Climb!” map, originally created by Dylan “Dilly” Johnson, is being introduced. Notably, Johnson is the chief executive officer of Good Gamers, a renowned Fortnite Creative development group.

Dylan ‘Dilly’ Johnson found it a logical choice to collaborate with a game as iconic as Tetris. Although casual gamers and Fortnite players have typically been separate groups playing on distinct platforms, there’s an increasing overlap between them. Like Tetris, our game Color Climb! is built around easy-to-grasp mechanics that highlight skill and intuition. We’re excited to see if fans of both games will appreciate our creation.
Four distinct competitions are slated for the forthcoming course, meticulously crafted by Cherry Pick Gaming. The contestants will be challenged to demonstrate their skills on a parkour-style island that doubles as a platformer, with the objective of racing up blocks while avoiding falls.
The blocks that players will ascend appear similar to the conventional Tetris shapes, reminiscent of the classic game.
Under the auspices of ThePeachCobbler on Twitch, four competitions are scheduled for September 17th, 25th, 28th, and October 2nd, 2024. In each event, eight players will face off against each other. The quickest competitors will share a prize pool of $10,000.

playSTUDIOS expresses its excitement for the Fortnite x Tetris integration
On occasion, you don’t often witness a match-up as renowned and timeless as Tetris combining with a sensation like Fortnite. This fresh collaboration could very well draw a good number of Tetris enthusiasts into the Battle Royale arena, offering them an opportunity to explore the creative realm of Fortnite.
Andrew Pascal, founder and CEO of playSTUDIOS, stated that Tetris is one of the most enduringly popular gaming classics. The fact that it remains just as cherished today as it was 40 years ago speaks volumes about its design’s elegance and The Tetris Company’s talent for keeping their brand modern and significant in the constantly evolving entertainment industry.
Today, the map has been officially launched and can be accessed by players in the Fortnite Creative hub for exploration up until October 4.
