Tessa Blanchard must not ever step foot in WWE

The collaboration between WWE and Impact Wrestling (formerly known as TNA Wrestling) is sparking conversations across the wrestling industry. Despite their long-standing relationship, it remains intriguing to see what’s next in store for these two powerhouses. The talent exchange has led to some remarkable matches and memorable moments for both parties. Lately, there have been whispers about a TNA star potentially challenging WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley. Tessa Blanchard seems to be hinting at going up against the current titleholder, and it’s essential to note that WWE should steer clear of this performer with a questionable past for quite some time.

Speaking on the DeLoco Podcast, Blanchard expressed her admiration for Rhea Ripley, saying they had a shared experience in the Mae Young Classic for WWE. She noted that while Ripley was already impressive during their first encounter, she has since evolved into an incredible force in the ring, truly embodying a powerful presence. Blanchard added that she would be open to working with her again.

However, it’s important to question if the WWE would be open to welcoming her back, given the current circumstances. At present, Blanchard is associated with TNA, but she carries a stained reputation within the wrestling community. For quite some time now, she has been generally shunned by many in the industry. In 2020, she made history as the first woman to win the Impact World Championship. However, this achievement was overshadowed by allegations that she had bullied other women backstage, using derogatory language towards La Rosa Negra during their time together at a previous company. Chelsea Green and several other industry professionals have openly discussed their problems with Blanchard.

Recently, Blanchard triumphed over Jordynne Grace at TNA Genesis on January 19, and this victory has stirred a significant reaction among spectators that major companies can’t afford to overlook. Fans have been vocalizing chants like “she’s a racist.” Given the backlash that Blanchard has received, it appears risky for WWE to feature her on television in any capacity.

Recall the recent episode of WWE Monday Night Raw when fans booed Hulk Hogan? Some might question why this occurred throughout the entire segment, but by now, Hogan’s racially insensitive actions are not a secret. It seems that Blanchard’s actions may have a similar reputation, at least among dedicated professional wrestling enthusiasts.

Although it’s essential for wrestling to attract names that provoke emotional reactions from fans, the type of reaction Blanchard elicits is distinct.

Is it possible for Blanchard to rebuild her house? Yes, that’s feasible. However, she must demonstrate regret or contrition before starting the process. As of now, she hasn’t shown signs of remorse. Since the accusations surfaced, she has had multiple chances to express regret, but her discourse on the matter has not met the expectations of those who seek an apology. It appears that even after five years, there’s no indication that she intends to publicly apologize.

As an ardent WWE fan, I’ve got to say, the roster is packed with extraordinary performers, and their women’s division is truly setting the standard in the industry. However, when it comes to Tessa Blanchard, I firmly believe she doesn’t have a place within the company, regardless of the current collaboration. In my opinion, her name is one that should never grace the WWE stage.
