As a seasoned Strictly Come Dancing enthusiast with years of watching and analyzing the show under my belt, I must say, this weekend’s live show was nothing short of electrifying! The return of Amy Dowden, a dancer I’ve long admired for her grace, skill, and infectious spirit, truly made my heart sing.
On Saturday night, following the conclusion of the first live episode of Strictly, Tess Daly was accompanied by her stylish daughter Phoebe as they exited, with Tess having assumed her hosting responsibilities.
The 55-year-old host was accompanied by captivating Phoebe, 19, who had observed her from the audience during their departure following an impressive opening night.
For the initial live performance, the beloved BBC program welcomed back its host, joined by stars such as Nick Knowles from DIY SOS and Pete Wicks from TOWIE, who each showcased their first dance moves on the floor.
In the red jumpsuit that she wore for the performance, Tess was simply breathtaking, while Phoebe exuded elegance in her white outfit.
At the same time, Judge Shirley Ballas, aged 64, left accompanied by her mother Audrey, appearing to be in high spirits.
Sam Thompson, along with his girlfriend Zara McDermott, who provided support for their friend Pete, were also spotted exiting the premises.
In the initial live broadcast, Amy moved viewers to tears as she took the lead on the scoreboard when she performed together with JB Gill on a Saturday night, marking her return to the show after overcoming her struggle with breast cancer.

2021 marks a significant milestone for Strictly, as it commemorates its 20-year anniversary. Meanwhile, after her emotional struggle with cancer, Amy graced our screens once more in this year’s edition of the show.
2023 saw Amy receiving a diagnosis of stage three breast cancer in May, marking the start of the most challenging year she had ever faced. During this difficult time, she went through a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility treatments, and was admitted to the hospital with sepsis.
In a heartwarming update shared earlier this year, I revealed my triumphant return to the stage following a challenging journey that included a mastectomy and chemotherapy treatments. Thankfully, subsequent tests confirmed no signs of the disease in my body now.
37-year-old JB from JLS, who appeared ecstatic, enthusiastically shared with co-host Claudia that he truly delighted in mastering the dance routine.
Audience members simply couldn’t get enough of the remarkable display, showering JB with compliments for his talent and expressing their delight at the dancer’s comeback to the adored program.

Over the weekend, fifteen well-known personalities along with their professional dance partners graced the dance floor for the first time during our live broadcast, following last week’s captivating debut where partnerships were announced.
However, unlike the initial performance which was taped in advance, this time, there was zero tolerance for mistakes because each move, twirl, and dance step was under close examination by judges Shirley, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke.
Once again, Tess and Claudia were ready to greet, cheer on, and comfort the newest group of anxious dancers as they took their first steps on the dance floor, aiming to win over both the judges and the viewers watching from home.
Audience members were set for an enjoyable experience as the initial live performance began, featuring a mix of dance styles such as Cha Cha, Viennese Waltz, Samba, and even a Paso Doble, all prepared to entertain them.
