Police arrested a woman driving a Tesla after she allegedly shot at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills house with an assault rifle. The arrest wasn’t directly related to the shooting, however; officers noticed the vehicle was extremely dirty, which led to the stop and subsequent discovery of the connection to the crime.
Police arrested a 30-year-old woman on Sunday after she fired multiple shots at the home of singer Rihanna, 38, and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.
Police in Los Angeles say the suspect fired several shots from her car at a home where the celebrity was present. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
According to radio communication heard by the LA Times, the incident involved at least ten gunshots fired from a white Tesla before the driver left the scene.
When police began searching for the car, they shared details over the radio, noting the suspect was a woman with braided hair wearing a cream-colored top.
The car was also noted as having a dirty undercarriage. A police helicopter then spotted it in a Sherman Oaks parking lot, leading to her arrest.
According to a source familiar with the situation, the couple was largely unaware of what occurred and hadn’t been given much information.
According to the same source, Rocky was out when the shooting happened. He and his partner have three children: five-month-old Rocki, two-year-old Riot, and three-year-old RZA.
The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the incident, police confirmed.
Investigators haven’t yet determined why this happened, but they plan to share more details about the woman involved on Monday.
