Having watched the chilling journey of Art the Clown since its inception, I find myself deeply invested in this twisted tale.

It’s important to note that Terrifier 4 hasn’t been formally announced yet, but given the popularity of Art the Clown, it wouldn’t come as a shock if we see him causing chaos on our screens once more.

After the initial screening of Terrifier 3 at Fantastic Fest last month, writer and director Damien Leone confirmed during a Q&A that “indeed, there will be a Terrifier 4.” (as reported by Variety). Yet, it appears he may have spoken too soon.

It took two years from the release of Terrifier 2 (in October 2022) until Terrifier 3 (also in October 2024). Given that pattern, it seems likely they’ll continue releasing new films every two years. This suggests that we might expect Terrifier 4 to hit the screens for Halloween in 2026.

The movie “Terrifier 4” was filmed between February and April 2024, and was released in October of the same year. So, if “Terrifier 4” starts filming early in 2025, it could potentially be shown to audiences in October 2025.

Terrifier 3 ending explained: How does it set up Terrifier 4?

Just like the last two films, “Terrifier 3” features a significant number of victims at the hands of Art the Clown. However, in a twist, Vicky actively participates in the carnage this time around.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the latest revelation in the Terrifier series: It appears she’s under the influence of the same malevolent entity that was the Little Pale Girl in the sequel. While some details, like how exactly this demon took over, are still hazy, one thing is certain – this wicked spirit seems determined to possess Sienna completely.

In the gaming world I inhabit, I, Sienna, stand as the Earth’s adversary against the demon. I possess the unique abilities to halt its destructive force and yield the enchanted sword, a gift bestowed upon me by my father. The miraculous resurrection skills showcased in the second film are a testament to this role, as is my control over the mystical blade.

In the climactic scene of “Terrifier 3”, Art and Vicky forcibly detain Sienna and her aunt Jessica inside their residence with malicious intent to torment Sienna, aiming to make her vulnerable enough for a demonic entity to manifest. Remarkably resilient, Sienna endures the gruesome murder of her aunt and the grotesque display of her brother Jonathan’s decapitated head by Art.

What Art and Vicky don’t know is that Sienna dug up the sword from Terrifier 2 and hid it in a present under her tree. Her cousin Gabbie (also being held hostage) knows, though, from reading Sienna’s diary, and asks Art to allow Sienna to open one final present.

Art breaks Sienna’s hands before freeing her to open her present, but she’s still able to wield the sword to decapitate Vicky. After a brutal fight, Sienna manages to stab Art and pin him to the wall.

Prior to her attempting to take his life, an unusual event occurs with Vicky: her head begins to liquefy and create a gateway that appears to lead to the underworld within the house’s floor. In this chaos, Gabbie plummets into this abyss and clings for dear life. Instead of carrying out the intended act of killing Art, Sienna becomes frantic with attempts to rescue Gabbie.

In the climactic moment of “Terrifier 3”, Sienna is unable to rescue Gabbie, who tumbles into an abyss, seemingly descending towards a sinister realm. Upon gazing back at the ominous wall, she notices that Art has vanished (naturally). The story concludes with Sienna vowing to “seek” Gabbie, while Art boards a bus for destinations uncharted.

There remains some ambiguity regarding the reasons behind Art’s repeated resurrections, the roles of the Little Pale Girl and Vicky in the storyline, and the significance of Sienna’s father’s comics as a means to defeat Art.

Rest assured, Damien Leone has a clear idea of where the story ends for the series. As he put it to GamesRadar+, “I am aware of the conclusion [of the series].

“I have a good grasp of some key scenes, and I’m currently working on the opening sequence. It’s common for movies to begin this way. The story unfolds like a puzzle, with certain pieces already in place, and it’s my job to fill in the missing details.

Although the series has been successful, it appears that Leone doesn’t intend to simply produce more films featuring Art killing a fresh group of characters as sequels. In fact, he’s already aware of the entire series’ conclusion, having written the ending for the second film.

In conversation with ScreenRant, as a narrative artist and movie maker, you aim to construct a complete series or saga that offers fulfillment. This means crafting an ending that provides closure, allowing viewers to follow the story from beginning to end, comprehend the characters’ development, and appreciate their journeys.

In essence, my ultimate aim is this – although I speak as an inexperienced artist, things may change in the future – yet, this is my goal: I aim to create only a few pieces and ensure they all culminate in a fulfilling ending.

Terrifier 4 cast: Who will be back in Terrifier 4?

Currently, the confirmed cast members for “Terrifier 4” include David Howard Thornton reprising his role as the seemingly indestructible Art the Clown, along with Lauren LaVera returning to play the equally resilient character of Sienna Shaw.

In our opinion, it appears that Sienna’s brother Jonathan, portrayed by Elliot Fulham in both “Terrifier 2” and “Terrifier 3”, met a violent end at the hands of characters named Art and Vicky. However, the death of this character was not depicted on screen during “Terrifier 3”. Although the decapitated head could have belonged to any character, it’s worth noting that Art was seen wearing glasses similar to those worn by Jonathan in earlier scenes.

There’s a possibility that Antonella Rose might reappear as Sienna’s cousin, Gabbie, if she manages to make it back from her journey to the underworld. It wouldn’t shock us either if we catch glimpses of Vicky Heyes once more, even though Vicky was decapitated and seemed to disintegrate, given that she is portrayed by Samantha Scaffidi.
