Terri Irwin’s Jungle Plot Twist
It appears that Terri Irwin is trying to move the set of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here” from South Africa back to Australia.
This week, it was reported by New Idea that the mother of show host Robert Irwin, aged 21, wishes to shift the production of the Network Ten show to one of her personal properties.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel at the rumors swirling about the ‘mumager.’ It’s said that she owns a real estate empire valued well above $100 million! With such an extensive collection of properties under her belt, it’s not hard to imagine several of them serving as perfect backdrops for my beloved wildlife-themed reality TV show.
Chief among them is Australia Zoo, which boasts plentiful accommodation at The Crocodile Lodge.
Rooms at the the Irwins’ Sunshine Coast estate are priced upwards of $1000 per night.
According to a source, there’s not a lot that people can accomplish in Oz that they can’t achieve in South Africa.
In addition to that, Terri additionally possesses the expansive 130,000-hectare Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve located in Cape York, Far North Queensland, and a property of 1416 hectares named Ironbark Station, situated in Blackbutt, Queensland.
The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve is a diverse expanse, consisting of various types of rainforests, wetlands, and savannahs, as described on their site. In total, it encompasses thirty-five distinct ecosystems that are frequented annually by conservation and educational groups.
It appears that Terri has proposed an idea to the makers of I’m A Celebrity!, suggesting that one of their numerous conservation sites might serve perfectly as a setting for the Australian version of the well-liked survival series.
As celebrities battle through their jungle survival, the recently established Crocodile Cabins at Australia Zoo offer a lavish lodging experience for high-profile guests and staff members.
Starting in December, I’m thrilled to share that Terri and Bindi have unveiled their latest lodging offerings! Each of these cozy cabins comfortably hosts four guests. To secure a stay, a minimum commitment of three nights is required, with the nightly rate set at approximately $2,100.
According to the insider, Australia Zoo’s latest addition, The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, is designed to accommodate a large number of staff who contribute to making the show such a success.
It would add a unique charm to the show, having Robert host it from his very own garden.
Daily Mail Australia has approached Channel 10 and Australia Zoo for comment.

The series is renowned for its South African backdrop, but a previous season was actually shot in Dungay, New South Wales, amid the global pandemic in 2021.
Rumors emerged following news that Terri went to great lengths to keep her son’s latest girlfriend from accompanying him into the jungle this season.
It’s said that Robert has been in a relationship with Charlotte Briggs, a previous employee at Australia Zoo, since November 2024.
According to sources, the TV personality is holding off on making their relationship official until his mother gives her approval, after which they might publicly announce it.
‘Terri encourages Robert to prioritize his profession, as she feels he’s not yet prepared for the commitments that come with starting a family, much like Bindi.’
At least, not yet.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share this exciting tidbit: It appears that Terri will remain with her little one throughout the entire jungle filming for the 2021 series. Insiders reveal that this was not initially planned for the 2025 edition, but it seems the producers are thrilled with this twist!
Previously, Robert has encountered situations where he was unable to bring a partner along for work – this happened last year when his then-girlfriend, Rorie Buckey, was dropped from the team right before their planned collaboration in South Africa for the 2024 production.

In early January, approximately ten days before the highly-anticipated debut of I’m A Celebrity on Channel 10, Robert and his mother Terri touched down at Sydney Airport.
A confidant shared with Daily Mail Australia that for the young TV host’s future romantic endeavors to thrive, it is recommended he establish limits with his mother.
According to the source, it was anticipated that Robert was going to make it public that he is dating Charlotte Briggs, who works at Australia Zoo.
‘But just days before flying to South Africa for I’m A Celebrity, that announcement went cold.’
Currently, Robert continues to live with his mother at the Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, and an inside source alleges that this living arrangement may be hindering his capacity to forge a long-term relationship independently.
They told Robert that he would likely have to leave his family home for his next relationship to succeed, offering him candid guidance.
For many years, the strong connection shared by the Irwin family has garnered much admiration. However, people who are acquainted with Robert feel that it’s now crucial for him to take charge of his independence and work towards building a life tailored to his personal desires.
