Terri Irwin shares heartbreaking tribute to Steve on the 18th anniversary of his death
As someone who grew up captivated by Steve Irwin’s infectious passion for wildlife and conservation, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration for Terri and her family on this poignant anniversary. Their unwavering dedication to continuing Steve’s legacy is nothing short of inspiring.
On the 18th memorial of Steve Irwin’s passing, Terri Irwin has penned an emotional tribute to honor his memory
Sharing a sentimental picture on Instagram, Terri (age 59), wrote an affectionate message that read, ‘Love persists,’ followed by a heart symbol in red
The post features a candid image of the beloved wildlife couple, wrapped in warm jackets while embracing each other, with what appears to be Cradle Mountain in Tasmania pictured behind them.
One fan wrote, ‘Thank you for sharing that love with us. I grew up to never settle for less,’ capturing the lasting impact Steve and Terri’s relationship has had on their global fanbase.
Singer-songwriter Amy Shark also chimed in, commenting, ‘This is just beautiful.’
On the occasion of Father’s Day this past Sunday, I took to social media to honor my beloved husband, Steve, with a touching tribute. I shared a pair of heartwarming photos that depicted not just him, but also our little two-year-old Robert in a unique bonding moment. The images showcased both father and son, each gently holding a large native lizard, symbolizing their shared fascination for nature and wildlife
‘Steve had so much love for Robert and Bindi. He was the best dad. It warms my heart to see how much they always wanted to be just like him,’ she wrote.

I’m confident that he would take great pride in seeing how they have carried on his environmental message and efforts
On the 4th of September, 2006, Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’, at the age of 44, tragically passed away off the coast of Queensland. His death occurred during the filming of a nature documentary when he was unfortunately impaled in the chest by a stingray
At the age of six, sadly, Bindi perished, whereas Robert was just a few months away from turning three
Despite no longer being present, the impact he made endures through his family, as they’ve taken up his cause of preserving and championing wildlife

It was Steve’s father, Bob, 85, who built the iconic Queensland zoo from the ground up in 1970 and passed it on to his late son and his wife Terri in 1992.
Throughout his life, Steve was an advocate for wildlife preservation, using his popular television program, “The Crocodile Hunter,” as a platform
They have continued his lasting impact through a popular wildlife reality show of their own, titled “Crikey! The Irwins,” first aired in 2018 and broadcast on the Animal Planet channel to this day
