Tencent Games announced that its monster-collecting role-playing game, Roco Kingdom: World, will be released in China on March 26, 2026. The news came during a livestream celebrating the 15th anniversary of MoreFun Studios. Players in China could already sign up for the game on iOS devices starting this August.

Roco Kingdom: World finally has a launch date! While it’s not available everywhere yet, this is a promising step. The game was originally announced in 2022 and has gone through several testing phases, including an offline test in 2023 and a first closed beta test earlier this year. Now, it seems like the game is almost ready for release.

Get ready to play as a new student in the vibrant world of Roco Kingdom, a place full of cute creatures called Rocos! You’ll be able to collect these Rocos, become friends with them, and embark on exciting adventures. I’m really looking forward to this game because it’s a sequel to the popular Roco Kingdom created by Enzo Zhang.

I believe this game has the potential to become very popular in China, and eventually worldwide, mirroring the success of the original game. A key part of its appeal is the engaging combination of collecting creatures, similar to Pokémon, with the freedom to explore a vast open world reminiscent of Genshin Impact.

As a player, I expect we’ll be waiting a while for the game to launch. However, I think that’s a good thing. I’d rather the developers take the time to really refine everything before release. It already looks fantastic with its varied environments, enjoyable combat, and charming characters, and I want them to make it the best it can be.
