Tencent Games’ Kewlbiverse seems to have shut down in silence after months of inactivity

Story Highlights

  • Kewlbiverse appears to have shut down quietly with no official announcement or statement.
  • The last known activity for the game was its closed beta test in November 2024.

There’s some disappointing news about Tencent Games’ open-world pet collecting RPG, Kewlbiverse. The game seems to have been quietly shut down without any official announcement or goodbye message to players.

Kewlbiverse’s website no longer works, while social channels remain completely inactive

The game’s website is down, and its social media hasn’t been updated in a while. It doesn’t feel like the game had a planned ending—it just quietly disappeared.

It feels like ages ago, but the last big news about Kewlbiverse was back in November 2024. That’s when AIDELWEISS – a studio owned by Tencent Games – announced their first closed beta test for Android. It was only available in a few areas, and after that, things went quiet. I was really hoping to get in on that test!

There was a lot of excitement surrounding the game’s release. It offered a wide range of activities – players could explore, collect creatures, build bases, battle, farm, and interact with others – all within a vibrant world populated by over 100 different creatures called Faeby.

There are a few possible reasons for this. The game’s themes are similar to Pokémon, and it also seems to have drawn inspiration from Palworld, which might have caused concerns. Additionally, the legal issues surrounding Light of Motiram and the eventual settlement with Sony could have led them to avoid ideas that resembled other existing games too closely.

It’s also possible Tencent Games decided to prioritize projects they thought had a better chance of success. Another monster-collecting MMORPG, called Roco Kingdom: World, is scheduled to launch in China on March 26, 2026, and it’s already been tested much more thoroughly than Kewlbiverse.

We haven’t received an official announcement regarding Kewlbiverse yet. The GamingonPhone team has contacted them for more information and will share any updates as soon as we receive them. Please check back for the latest news.
