Tencent Games is at present working on a new game under the code name “Shooting,” which falls into the category of hero shooters and is connected to the Honor of Kings intellectual property. At this point, the project is still in its initial phases. Previously, Tencent Games declared plans for several games using the Honor of Kings IP towards the end of 2022.

Although particulars about the game are scarce for now, Codenamed Shooting contributes to Tencent Games’ broader plan to enrich the Honor of Kings universe, venturing into genres beyond Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) and action games. I’m eager to see what this game will bring to life!

The mobile game “Honor of Kings,” also known as “King of Glory” in China, has achieved tremendous success. It racked up over 50 million downloads and brought in more than $100 million in its first month alone. What’s even more impressive is that the Chinese version of this game was the first mobile game to exceed $10 billion in revenue in the year 2021.
