Tencent Games’ exploration RPG Roco Kingdom to begin its first beta test on August 19, 2024, in China
As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the upcoming beta test for Roco Kingdom has me more excited than a Pikachu finding a Thunderstone! Having grown up with Pokémon and dabbling in Genshin Impact more recently, the prospect of a game that seamlessly combines these two worlds is simply irresistible.
Tencent Games has declared that the long-awaited MMORPG adventure game, Roco Kingdom, will kick off its initial beta testing phase on August 19, 2024, within China. Registration for this test is now available.

In 2022, I got wind of an exciting new project called Roco Kingdom, developed by none other than Tencent’s Morefun Studios. As a gamer who loves open-world RPGs, this game is right up my alley! It seamlessly combines the captivating creature/monster-taming mechanics from classic Pokémon games with the vast, explorable landscapes of Genshin Impact. I can’t wait to dive into this fantastical world!

The developers have managed to blend the timeless essence of the original with modern 3D open-world technology in this new title, making it a must-play for any adventure seeker like myself.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve been deeply immersed in the captivating world of the Roco Kingdom for a whopping 14 years now! It all started with the Chinese release of its browser game, which has since grown into a multi-faceted phenomenon. Now, it’s not just about the game – we’ve got books, movies, webtoons, and TV series that delve deep into the rich lore of the Roco people and their magical pets. This epic universe has amassed a dedicated fan base, and I can’t wait to see what new adventures await us in this enchanting realm.
In January this year, China conducted an offline trial for Roco Kingdom, and now it’s preparing for its initial beta release. At the moment, we’re preparing to launch Roco Kingdom Mobile on both iOS and Android devices. The exact release date isn’t confirmed yet, but keep an eye out for more news!
