Temptations fans need to watch the Cowboys and Lions on Thursday Night Football

The Detroit Lions played the Green Bay Packers at home on Thanksgiving. While the game wasn’t a win for Lions fans, it was a great day for fans of Jack White. The newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performed at halftime, and he was joined on stage by Detroit rapper Eminem.

The Detroit Lions play again this Thursday, just a week after their last game. They’ll be hosting the Dallas Cowboys, and both teams are trying to secure a spot in the playoffs and improve their position in the NFC. Dallas seems to be playing better recently, but Detroit has the benefit of playing at home. However, home-field advantage didn’t help them in their previous game against Green Bay.

Honestly, the game itself doesn’t matter too much to me right now. I’m way more excited about the music! If you’re tuning in to Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, the legendary Temptations are doing the halftime show. Even if the game’s a dud, at least we’ll get some great music!

The Temptations will provide the halftime entertainment for the Dallas Cowboys versus the Detroit Lions

The Temptations, legendary Motown singers, currently feature Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Tony Grant, and Jawan Jackson. Williams was there from the very beginning, as a founding member. Sadly, other original members like Eddie Kendricks have passed away – Kendricks was just 52 years old when he died.

The Temptations had four songs reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart—including classics like “My Girl” and “I Can’t Get Next to You.” They also topped the R&B charts an impressive 14 times. Their music was generally positive, heartfelt, and enjoyable to listen to.

The Temptations began in 1961 when two doo-wop groups joined together. They became the first group from Motown to win a Grammy Award, and they eventually won four in total.

The Detroit Lions are asking fans to wear white to the game in celebration of their halftime show, a tradition for the performing group. Hopefully, it will bring the team some luck as they play their rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.
