Grace Van Patten and Jackson White, the stars of ‘Tell Me Lies,’ have taken their romantic connection from the screen to a new Calvin Klein Valentine’s Day ad campaign, showcasing their chemistry in a steamy photoshoot.
The 29-year-old couple showcased their affection in a new Calvin Klein campaign, sharing kisses and close embraces in a series of intimate and sensual photos that blended romance with fashion.
The campaign, filmed and directed by Zora Sicher, showed Van Patten and White in relaxed and intimate scenes. They wore casual denim and underwear, and the photos highlighted their genuine connection as a couple who are also partners in real life.
The actress told Vanity Fair she welcomed the chance to join the campaign because it came after a particularly difficult day filming, offering a welcome distraction.
Honestly, it was a really draining day. We were dealing with some emotionally charged situations and just felt completely depleted. We were so exhausted, we were practically bouncing off the walls trying to keep our energy up – it sounds silly, but we were literally jumping around to stay awake!
White shared her enthusiasm, explaining, ‘We typically don’t do that… We were too joyful to have a fight scene.’

Van Patten also shared his thoughts on what the campaign represents, highlighting the brand’s consistent commitment to being genuine and building relationships.
Calvin Klein has always championed self-assurance, genuine connection, and feeling comfortable being yourself. Valentine’s Day is a perfect opportunity to celebrate those intimate bonds. This campaign focuses on those relaxed, personal moments – times when you can truly be yourself, share a laugh, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
White agreed, describing the shoot as uniquely personal.
He described the experience as deeply personal and unlike any other project they’d worked on. He explained that being completely comfortable and vulnerable with each other allowed them to truly connect and appreciate how naturally they worked together.
Van Patten and White became acquainted in 2022 while filming the first season of the Hulu series, Tell Me Lies, adapted from the novel of the same title.
They actually met for the first time during a screen test over Zoom, before they started filming the movie.
Van Patten said in an October 2025 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast that he and the other person didn’t have an instant connection.
I initially thought, “Okay, this might not work out,” but he’s absolutely perfect for the role – incredibly talented. So, I was both thrilled we’d found Stephen and slightly skeptical at the same time.

White later admitted he felt anxious on the call, which made Van Patten understand his behavior better. After they met face-to-face, Van Patten’s initial impression completely shifted, and she realized he was excellent.
In the series Tell Me Lies, the actors play Lucy and Stephen, college students involved in a damaging and intense romantic relationship.
Despite how things appear on screen, Van Patten has said they don’t have that same relationship in real life.
She told People magazine in August 2025 that their relationship feels natural and comfortable, with a deep understanding between them. She also shared that he’s a driven and hardworking person who inspires her, and is always there for her.
Although working with a romantic partner can be difficult, Van Patten believes it actually simplifies her work.

Before the second season started filming, she confessed she was initially hesitant about revisiting the show’s passionate romance.
I used to worry that people would realize I was pretending. Before we started, I thought, ‘Will I feel insecure? Will you see through me, since you know me so well?’ But once we began filming, I realized that wasn’t the case at all – it was actually the opposite of what I expected.
Being with him makes me feel incredibly safe and comfortable, allowing me to truly open up and be myself. That connection is really special.
In an interview with ABC News, White shared similar thoughts, noting that the genuine trust between them makes their performances together more believable.
He explained that their relationship is built on a lot of trust, allowing them to be free, feel safe, and enjoy complete openness with each other.

The show Tell Me Lies, which debuted in September 2022, just finished airing its third season.
This series tells the story of Lucy and Stephen, two college students whose passionate but complicated relationship unfolds over eight years. It explores their strong connection, as well as the ways they manipulate and betray each other.
As a huge fan, I was thrilled to see that the show stayed in Hulu’s Top 15 most-watched list for over 50 days straight during its second season! It just proves how many of us are completely hooked.
The show also stars Cat Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, and Alicia Crowder, joining Van Patten and White.
