Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 3 preview: Stephen and Lucy’s toxic relationship continues
As a gamer who’s seen more than a few toxic relationships unfold in my countless hours of virtual adventures, I can tell you that the situation between Lucy and Stephen is giving me some serious deja vu. It’s like watching a horror movie where the villain just won’t stay dead! I mean, come on, man! Can’t a girl catch a break?
It appears that despite Lucy’s attempts to move on from Stephen and end their relationship, it seems he won’t let go so readily. As we witnessed at the close of Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 2 last week, he manipulatively enrolled as a teacher’s assistant in her class, causing nothing but trouble for her. It feels like someone should give him a firm reminder already – perhaps a well-deserved punch in the face?

What is Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 3 about?
Previously stated, the second episode concluded with a suspenseful moment: Stephen has become Lucy’s teaching assistant, which she had explicitly expressed was not desired. It’s no surprise that he chose to disregard her wishes.
In addition, Bree and Evan find themselves in a difficult situation at present, causing her to seek comfort in Professor Oliver’s embrace, with them sharing a passionate kiss. Meanwhile, Pippa narrowly escaped a potentially dangerous encounter with freshman Chris, but Diana managed to intervene just in time. With these events unfolding, it appears that the third episode of ‘Tell Me Lies’ Season 2 has plenty to explore. Here is the official synopsis for the third installment:
Stephen baits Lucy as she attempts to rid herself of him once and for all. Wrigley and Pippa finally talk.
At the conclusion of the first season, it was revealed that Stephen was actually driving the car on the night Macy passed away, making him accountable for the accident. Despite this, he deceives Drew, Wrigley’s brother, by making him believe that Wrigley had confessed to Pippa about that fateful night. In addition, Lucy wrongly assumes that Drew is responsible and writes a letter to the Dean holding him accountable.
Due to this series of events, Wrigley assumes Pippa wrote the letter, leading to a fight with Drew that results in Wrigley injuring his knee after a fall. This rift causes their relationship to end, and the football team accuses Pippa for her ex-boyfriend’s injury. In the first two episodes of season 2, it has been shown that Wrigley and Pippa haven’t spoken since their breakup. From the synopsis, we can anticipate they will eventually reconcile.
To sum up, the visual teasers for “Tell Me Lies” season 2 episode 3 suggest that there may be a covert advancement in Bree’s relationship with Professor Oliver following their kiss at the end of the second episode. Her expression appears to be one of contentment while texting someone, likely Oliver rather than Evan. This development is significant for Bree’s character and raises questions about how this storyline will unfold. What can we expect to happen next?
