Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 1 and episode 2 recap: Our favorite toxic drama is back!
As a die-hard fan of the twisted world of Tell Me Lies, I can confidently say that the return of this series is like coming home after a long, arduous journey. I’ve been through the emotional wringer with Lucy and Stephen, so I know all too well what awaits me in season 2. It’s like a rollercoaster ride I can’t seem to escape from, but oh boy, do I love every minute of it!
As a dedicated gamer diving back into “Tell Me Lies” on Hulu, the Season 2 premiere wastes no time in continuing the narrative from where we last stood. However, unlike before when I thought I could decipher the maze of deception and treachery, this time the labyrinth has expanded!
Spoiler alert! What happens in Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 1 and episode 2? Both are now streaming on Hulu! If you have yet to stream these, we need you to rush over and do so, because we are diving into spoilers below, people! Go catch up before reading ahead.
If you feel like it’s been a while since we last witnessed a very poisonous TV relationship, that’s because it’s been approximately two years. Lucy (Grace Van Patten) has returned to Baird College, but it seems unlikely that much academic work will be accomplished there. Although the summary suggests that Lucy is determined to begin anew and move past her past errors, this couldn’t be further from reality. Instead, Lucy is returning for more complex entanglements (and apparently a lot of sexual content, according to the previews). Some aspects never change – and we eagerly anticipate everything that unfolds!
In the first episode of season 2 for “Tell Me Lies,” titled “Didn’t you feel something too?”, I found myself immersed in an intense encounter, while episode 2, named “Flipping Things Around,” took a surprising turn as characters made unexpected decisions. Here’s what unfolded
In the opening episode of season 2, it’s revealed that despite past events, Lucy and Stephen (Jackson White) continue to harbor feelings for each other. The story unfolds in current times, starting with an uneasy exchange between Lucy and Lydia, which escalates when Lydia expresses her unwillingness to ever forgive Lucy. As the scene shifts back in time, it seems that Tell Me Lies season 2 will maintain its present-past narrative structure. Interestingly, even though Stephen apologizes, it’s unclear if we can truly forgive him, and this is a perfect example of gaslighting at work. It’s worth noting that Lucy is not without blame in this situation as well
In keeping with our promise, this new season will delve into various narratives beyond Lucy and Stephen’s storyline. One intriguing tale that has piqued our curiosity is the evolving relationship between Pippa and Diana – there are so many questions we’re eager to explore! The premiere of season 2 also introduced the character of Chris, Lydia’s brother, who has already managed to grate on our nerves
As a gamer, here’s my take:
In the third episode of season 2 of “Tell Me Lies,” entitled “I Can See Straight Through Myself,” it will be broadcast exclusively on Hulu starting on Wednesday, September 11th
