In the latest update for Tekken 8 (version 2.05), a much-anticipated character win rate tracker has been introduced in Ranked Mode, along with fixes to hitboxes, enhancements to visuals, and an adjustment to Asuka’s neck. Although these quality of life improvements are appreciated by players, there is ongoing dissatisfaction among the community due to the absence of balance updates following Season 2.
The update details for Tekken 8 (version 2.05) highlight improvements such as hitbox adjustments, visual enhancements, and a much-awaited modification to Asuka’s neck. Yet, it’s the introduction of a character vs character win rate that truly stands out as a notable feature.
Despite the absence of significant character balance adjustments (which were expected to rectify problems arising from the controversial Tekken 8 Season 2 launch), some members within the gaming community express their dissatisfaction.

Tekken 8: Character win rate feature added
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Bandai Namco has listened to our community’s requests! In Tekken 8’s Ranked Mode, they’ve now included the tracking of not just overall win rates, but also specific character match-ups. This is truly a game-changer for strategists like me who love diving deep into character analysis and improving our competitive edge. Thanks, Bandai Namco, for constantly enhancing our gaming experience!
Now you have the ability to view your win rate compared to each character within the “Ranked Match.
Tekken 8 v2.05 Patch Notes – Tuesday Sept. 2
With the Tekken 8 v2.05 update, you’ll have access to information about your match-ups between characters in ranked matches. However, please note that this feature is available from Season 2 onwards; data for Season 1 cannot be accessed or reviewed retrospectively.
Before this latest change, determining your character’s strengths and weaknesses could only be done through third-party sources like Kekken and EWGF. Yet, the reliability of these external solutions was never absolutely guaranteed.
All we need now is a way to officially check Tekken 8 Rank Distribution.
Asuka’s neck is officially fixed

In other updates, Asuka’s neck issue has been resolved, implying that she now appears with a consistent neck presence. This change came about unintentionally due to the Beach Fun Pack DLC for the game, as players began to notice inconsistencies in the female characters’ physical appearances, particularly affecting Asuka.
As a gamer speaking about Asuka, I’d say: “I’ve noticed that if we make drastic changes to Asuka’s neck region right away, it could lead to major issues, not just in her appearance but also in customization. For now, we’re focusing on subtler modifications, like tweaking the shoulders, upper arms, and neck area.
As a passionate gamer, I noticed that one thing stood out oddly in Tekken 8 – the proportions of the female characters’ chest sizes seemed out of balance compared to their other features. Happily, the game’s director took notice and spoke about it openly on social media, addressing this concern directly with the gaming community.
We fixed the problem where certain character’s bust measurements were identical. We then adjusted their parameters to better represent each character’s unique original features.
TEKKEN 8 v2.05.00 Patch Notes
In the latest update for Tekken 8, outside of adjustments made to Asuka’s neck (presumably a reference to a character), the main focus is on refining hitboxes and collision detection. Additionally, the v2.05.00 Patch Notes indicate enhancements to sound effects, dialogue, and visual effects.
King’s running exploder cross-up removed, Bryan’s df 2,1 nerfed
The transformation of King’s running exploder cross-up received varied opinions. Over time, this attack allowed King to strike players right behind him, but now, that aspect has been taken away. Some longtime gamers considered the unexpected cross-up as part of King’s history, while others saw it as a glitch that warranted removal. Similarly, the counter-hit launcher df 2,1 from Bryan was also stripped of this feature.

Community frustration over balance
After checking out the patch notes for Tekken 8 version 2.05, numerous gamers expressed disappointment due to the absence of adjustments aimed at resolving imbalance issues that have been prevalent in Season 2. To clarify, Bandai Namco had stated earlier that balance changes would be temporarily postponed to prevent any disruptions during events like the Esports World Cup. Now that the World Cup has concluded, players are puzzled by the lack of character balance modifications.
On September 2, 2025, the patch notes for Tekken 8 version 2.05 were officially released. Yet, eager gamers remain hopeful and are patiently waiting for the Season 2 balance update that promises to dominate all gameplay aspects.
