Clive’s copped some hefty nerfs as Patch 1.11 rolls out.

The long-awaited update 1.11 for Tekken 8 has been released, and it brings along numerous modifications. Among the significant alterations, Clive’s players experienced a reduction in power on one of the character’s widely used (and bothersome) moves. Additionally, users will now have an enhanced opportunity to flaunt their customization options via a freshly introduced main menu personalization feature.

Clive F1+2 nerfed: Guaranteed punish on block

Clive, please step aside. One of his Heat Engager moves (performed by pressing F1+2) now takes an extra six frames to recover, allowing players to counterattack if he successfully blocks it. The developers mentioned that this move has overshadowed the usefulness of Clive’s other techniques, promoting repetitive playstyles.

If an initial attack doesn’t connect, its tracking capacity is reduced, allowing opponents to evade from a greater distance without being struck.

Main menu outfit customization now available

Users who love customizing their characters in Tekken 8 can now showcase their outfits and accessories directly on the main menu. Developers have incorporated a feature that allows users to select characters for the main menu from slots other than the default settings.

Character adjustments

Tekken Shop

  • “Flamboyant Pack” added.
    • A shared costume pack containing the following items:
      • Flamboyant Hair (Hair).
        Flamboyant Haori & Hakama (Upper Body).
        Flamboyant Geta (Shoes).
        Flamboyant Peacock Feathers (Accessory).
  • “Sublime Pack” added.
    • A shared costume pack containing the following items:
      • Sublime Hair (Hair).
      • Sublime Long-Sleeve Kimono (Upper Body).
      • Sublime Geta (Shoes).
      • Sublime Fan (Accessory).

Main Menu

  • Characters can now be selected from Customized Slots.
    • Added the ability to select main menu characters from slots other than “PRESET”.
    • Can be accessed via Options > Screen Settings > Main Menu Character Display Settings > Costume.
  • Added UI Hide Function
    • Added the ability to hide UI.

Character Customization

  • Added “Shared Customize Slot”.
    • Added 20 customization slots shared across all playable characters.
  • Added “Add to Favorites” function.
    • Favorited customizations are displayed with priority during customization slot selection at character select.
  • Added “Replace” function.

Rematch function

  • After a best-of-3 online match concludes, players can rematch from the result screen without returning to the matchmaking standby screen.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the win streak display in the “Player Match” session screen to accurately reflect consecutive wins within the same session.
    • With this change, win streaks in “Player Match” will be reset after the update.
