Although Euphoria boasts superior production quality, it’s challenging not to recognize the impact of Skins in shying away from sugarcoating teenage life. Over time, Skins’ influence has extended beyond English-language series.

To put it another way, shows like Skam from Norway and Love 101 from Turkey share a similarity with Skins, as they both offer an honest portrayal of adolescence rather than adopting a condescending perspective. Euphoria, before its release, was reminiscent of Skins in the United States back in 2011, although its American adaptation is generally seen as falling short compared to the original series.
